I would like to see him to, but I think MS had him at the Senior Bowl last year and probably came away with a bad feeling I could be wrong no source just a feeling. |

Nor should he. I'm a huge fan of his, eventually he'll be gone though but I hope not for another full season.

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II
I feel embarrassed for Greenberg if he seriously thinks Cousins could/should be traded because we might pick up White.

honestly, i think he's just stirring the pot, it's part of his job.. anything to get reactions from people positive or otherwise... which he obviously succeeded in doing... judging by the posts here. lol

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II
What MG was basically saying was if Pat White can succeed here he makes better sense as the backup QB because the offense would be run similarly to how they run it with RG3. He was using White more so as a hypothetical. Just saying that in the long run a QB similar to RG3 makes more sense than Cousins. I don't necessarily agree but that's what he was saying

I like this free agent approach. The cap hit is a blessng in disguise. Next year we get to have another "advantage" and Mara can't stop it.

Cousins showed last year that we don't need a backup with similar traits to RG3 to be successful. And Kyle S. was able to change up the game plan accordingly. This isn't a one trick pony type of offense. |

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II
More and more teams like the read option so this decision is a gamble to maybe get a draft pick for 2014. Pat can be used to play RGIII in camp while Griff recovers and he very well could resurect himself during preseason.... Win\Win situation

Make no mistake, the offense we ran last year will produce diminishing marginal returns. The diminution is the only question. The main factors here are defensive adjustments and RG's overall health/confidence in his ability to plant, cut, push off. Some of us are still hoping the gimmick plays were more a reaction to the (horrible) pass-blocking than Shanahan's determination to make our franchise player into a running QB.
