Guy is like glass. Why even have him on the field in such a meaningless exercise
The guy is a professional football player. You can't wrap him in bubble wrap until the regular season begins. Some people are just more fragile than others and he clearly falls into that category.

cooley said last week that players sometimes try to hide an offseason non-football related injury until they get to OTAs, then at some point during the first day say "owww my knee" so they can get their contract money.

this probably only applies to tears etc that you can walk and jog on and conceal to a degree.

This guy for some reason reminds me of Glass Joe on Punch Out. Makes me appreciate a guy like Fletcher even that much more.

Re: Paintrain's all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread (Version 2.0)

Couldn't find a better place for this and didn't want to start a new thread:

At what point does Snyder realize he's going to end up on the wrong side of history on this and change the name? NFL players asked to support Redskins name change - The Washington Post

The discussion isn't going away and all of the press releases, letters, foundations, etc. all seem more and more hollow every day. Once sponsors start buckling he won't have a choice. ESPN and MMQB writers are starting to embrace 'Washington' or the 'Washington football team' rather than use Redskins in articles and columns. It's a matter of time before one of the major networks falls in line as well.

Snyder could make SO much more $$ by changing the name. Any current merchandise will be collectors items and any new merchandise becomes the hottest thing going. He's almost being foolish not to make the change.

Personal opinion, I don't care either way. I don't think it's as offensive as some have made it their agenda to make it seem but if it truly offends a segment of people then it should be changed.

I would personally never buy a single piece of anything if the name and logo change. Period.

And many loyal fans probably would feel that way but there are tons of other people who would just buy it because it's new and will have pop culture cache. Big picture dude, it's all about the $$$.

Someone in this world being motivated by the principle of an issue rather than the dollars and cents involved?

I would literally pay more to have a custom redskins jersey made (knock off or not) for future players .... Only acception on the logo is the spear. I really like that too..

Sean Lee of Dallas Cowboys injured during OTAs - ESPN Dallas

Torn left ACL. Tough break for Lee and Cowboy fans. I hate seeing this type of injury no matter the circumstances. Hope he bounces back strong.

Def tough break, hope he returns but not strong lol. Nobody likes to see guys go out with injuries, but I gotta think this is a lil mismanagement by the boys. Severely injury prone player hittin first day of ots. Straight poor, asleep at the wheel IMO. Doesn't make sense to me, he's not just a guy, he's the most important player on that defense.

Re: Paintrain's all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread (Version 2.0)

I feel bad for S.Lee, he's a pretty good player but at this point unlikely to have a prolonged career.

I don't feel bad for the Cowboys, however. At this point, they're coming off a historic worst defensive season and they've lost Ware, and Hatcher and replaced them with an injured Melton. Lee is now not coming back, and they traded their 3rd rounder to us and really only have their 2nd round pick to help replace the defensive losses.

As long as we can slow down their offense, we have a chance when we play them..
