I can understand calling it a fumble live, but the replay clearly showed his wrist and hand down with the ball secure, and then the ball comes loose when his hand bounces off ground. I think the only way that would be a legit fumble is if they say he was untouched by a defender at that point. |

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
Am I the only one that thought we would have had a 50/50 shot to win if our kick coverage had done their job at the end? D.Jax redeemed himself. All we had to do was cover the kick and force OT, then we would have had even odds to win. Idk how many times it has to be said but players have to stay in their lines on kick returns. Undisciplined ST cost us the game at the end.

I was thinking more like 75/25. We would have had all the momentum considering the td drive. |

Agreed it was a shit call by the ST coach, but it shouldn't have come to that.

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
I don't really agree with the notion that Jackson "redeemed" himself. To me his fumble hurt us more than his TD helped us because the fumble was a bigger swing of the game. The Cowboys had only sniffed the red zone one other time in the game. If Jackson just runs forward and ends up at 30 yard line, we have the ball with just over 2 mins to go and if we end up getting a FG opportunity on THAT drive we likely do it as time expires. Game over.
Instead we were put against the 8 ball and Jackson's TD merely gave us some late game hope. |

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
I was wondering on that play too. Clearly the ball comes out by once of the ground and I thought the ground can't cause a fumble. But if he isn't down and is only going to ground by contact and the ball is knocked loose is that a fumble. I Don't think it is.

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
5-7 teams make plays like giving up a back breaking 45 yard return after tying it up. If we don't get a touchback it's literally pins and needles on the return. And they fucked it up tonight. And it was no surprise.
We still miss too many plays and give up too many to win often. Such as why we literally can't win 2 weeks in a row. This loss was just absolutely terrible and there are no excuses for it. Could've gone in to next week looking to get over .500. Now, at best 6-7. I'm so pissed off still.

It's a rebuilding year and even though winning the division would be nice, we can't lose sight of the big picture, and 5-7 is about on track as far as what a lot of people were hoping for before the season started. |

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
Games like this make me feel like teams like us, Detroit, Cleveland, are just always supposed to suck and have depressed fans.

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
We gotta get a center and a playmaker for the defense in the next draft.

Re: F$ck Dallas! Game thread
Hey, I will just say this guys. It's year one of the Scot McCloughan era and IMO, 2015 is not a season in which our record should be the #1 thing we look at.
Hell, look at some of the guys we have brought in off the street like Blackmon, Mason, Dunbar etc etc....these guys are contributing like they were draft picks. These small things go overlooked but we have a real GM now and he has only had one offseason. We should have no illusions of grandeur about the 2015 results meaning a whole lot in the big picture of this franchise. Would it be a nice bonus if we can be the NFC East team to stumble and bumble into the playoffs? Sure, however whether we end up 8-8 or 6-10, this is still just the beginning. |
