Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
Yes agree! I always love it but really will this year considering everything. It's also an exciting draft for the Skins considering it's Rivera's 1st and the #2 overall pick. Think ratings for this draft could be record setting.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
I wish the NFL would cut the draft bullshit this year and just do a 2 day draft.
Bring back the all day draft! |

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
yea its pretty annoying honestly. But they have to do anything they can to continure to make every penny they can off the draft.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
Well we should be right up there among the highest picks in 2021 also.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
2) Washington Redskins – Tua Tagovailoa, QB Alabama
Washington spent a first-round pick on Dwayne Haskins during the 2019 NFL Draft and traded a fifth-round pick for Kyle Allen to compete and push for the starting job. While both options showed flashes during their starting stretches last season, neither have the ceiling of Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa. Adding him into the quarterback room creates competition, and either Tagovailoa or Haskins could be moved down the line for draft capital. If Washington truly believes in Haskins, then others around the league will as well, meaning he’ll hold value even if he loses out in a competition with Tagovailoa. The Athletic's mock draft. I actually hope teams do think we will take Tua (It's not happening) but we can add draft picks if so. Again I love Chase Young and am all for drafting him but what if we can get 3 1's and a 2 for that pick? Would you really hate that?

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
It seems very unlikely to me that any team would offer 3 firsts and a second to get Tua. Certainly Miami will not do that when they are pretty much guaranteed to get Herbert or Love if they don't get Tua.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
I agree with u guys, the trade isn't happening and we are taking Young but it would be cool to have all those picks

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
I’d never underestimate a team getting tunnel visioned on a potential franchise qb. See rg3. I think most likely the skins draft young and don’t look back but ... there’s a chance a team gets enamored with tua.
If tua becomes a franchise qb, the trade is worth it

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
RG3 is not a good example. That was our team owner who wanted him and not many teams have an owner who behaved the way Danny did in the 2012 era.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
I’d rather take Young than get three first rounders. We need a game changer. Haven’t had one in years. Someone gameplanners have to account for and still struggle to stop.
Three very good players makes for a tempting option but you can’t forget how much better Sweat, Allen, Ioannidis and Payne will be when Young enters the picture. Great players create that extra bit more than the whole. The three picks would just be a sum of the parts.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?
The idea that draft picks slot into NFL careers in line with their draft positions is highly unreliable. Busts happen at 1/2 and throughout the draft. Game-changers turn up throughout the early rounds. The key is to maximize picks to hit a winner. There’s no one player who’s turning this franchise around.

We do not have either of those right now, so I agree with you. 1 player will not change this franchise right away but it sure can help build a good team. Bust do happen every year so that's why in my opinion I'd rather have 3 1's instead of just 1.
