Re: Why The Bengals Won't Have a Good 12th Man
I am in no way calling for fans of Fed Ex to "imitate" the Eagles fans. I am saying some people in the stands need to take a look at the passion you bring to the game. I'm probably preaching to the choir on this site, because everyone here probably screams their heads off at games. But there are still plenty of other fans who pretty much just sit on their hands. Bring the noise or stay home, someone else with passion could be using that seat.

And it's very myopic to think that people will actually stay home from the stadium because they're afraid of the jerks who yell S and F. That doesn't happen.

Must be regular. I'm not familiar with high gravity

You don't WANT to be familiar with it. It's basically OE ICE. One of them will have you on your ass. I don't know what it is about malt liquor, but it seriously f*cks me up. I would drink it often in college and got more drunk than I ever do on beer or liquor. I would drink King Cobra, St. Ides and OE 800 AND High Gravity.

Re: Why The Bengals Won't Have a Good 12th Man
malt liquor is seriously gross as it is, but if you nurse it and it gets hot it is easily the worst tasting invention ever.
Perhaps the 40's tradition needs to die this year.

Perhaps, since we'll have at least 3-4 cases of beer ready for the taking.

How this pertains to the Bengals, I don't know much about their attendance. Demand for their tickets may not be the same as Washington's. So if they stand to lose attendance due to increasingly boorish behavior, then I can understand management's move here in creating the hotline. They want to keep their existing fan base because they might believe that there aren't that many people lined up to get tickets. In that case it would be an understandable move, though at the same time somewhat deleterious to home-field advantage.

Obscenities may fly from my mouth, but I'm not a fighter. Granted, being as big as I am, I usually don't have to worry about any non-Skins fan trying to start something with me...that's what AMD is for. There is no reason that people can't be loud and rowdy at a football game, but if someone asks you to be respectful, do so. It should also be the understanding that your 5 year old may hear language it hasn't heard before, and it's to no fault of Dad or Mom, but they should make sure their child understands that those words are disrespectful and shouldn't be used.

I used to think Patron was out of my league. Then I kept hitting on her, getting in with Cabo Wabo and she was like, "Malcolm, I love you, I'll make sweet love to your mouth."
And sexiness ensued! Seriously, if tequila is requested, tequila will be there. I just cannot partake in any of it.

Re: Why The Bengals Won't Have a Good 12th Man
I too had a meeting and missed most of the stuff going down. I think I agree with most everyone here in that there is a line, it can be crossed, and you should avoid doing so and, as someone said, being a fan does not give you the right to be a thug and an asshole.
I have no expectation, nor any desire, that my trips to the stadium become an afternoon of tea and crumpets (unless we're using english slang - then bring on the tasty crumpets). At the same time, I think that everyone should have the expectation of relative civility in any setting. People are gonna curse, some assholes will start fights, some folks will drink more than they can handle. Even though such behavior must be tolerated to some extent, as long as everyone agrees that this behavior should not be condoned, it's all good. It's actually quite simple - do unto others as you would have them do unto you (In my youth, I lived by another motto - do unto others, then run. How I avoided serious jail time, I'll never know).
