Re: Arrington...

And this just in from FOX:

FOX Sports - NFL - Every Play Counts: LaVar Arrington

So now that Arrington is in a new environment, is he able to play within the confines of the defense? Watching Arrington on every play of the Giants' victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday showed that he doesn't seem to know what he's doing in pass coverage, has lost the blend of speed and power that once made him a terror as a pass rusher, and generally looks washed up at the age of 28.

Wow, harsh....

I think he will have a super duper career ahead of him ... as a used car salesman. Maybe a customer service rep ...

Q. Which coach wouldn't you like to play for?
Arrington: Joe Gibbs.

^ He's right, he DIDN'T play for Gibbs...Lavar was a selfish loser.

Q. Who's the toughest lineman you faced?
Arrington: None.

^ Accurate considering he's always on the bench in street clothes.

Q. What's your worst quality?
Arrington: I'm moody.

^ Accurate

Q. When you leave this game how do you want to be remembered?
Arrington: That he had an impact on the game itself ... the whole game.

^ Not the "whole game" but we'll always remember the impact you had on Aikman. Unfortunately, Troy probably can't remember it.

Re: Arrington...

Lavar was a great player. The knee injuries are tough to get over and i think the extent of his knee injuries were never really known. He looks overweight and slow.

Arrignton can't cover. He is best used blitzing the QB, and I think Marvin Lewis was the only def coor to understand what his true talents are /were...

Marvin Lewis is a football genius.
That being said, Arrington was an extremely talented LB, but he refused to follow a system and demanded to be a free lancer. He is almost useless to other teams because of that fact. Also, injuries have taken their toll, he'll likely never be the same. It's a shame really...he was "the next Lawrence Taylor".

LaVar may have had some talent, but to compare him to LT is a stretch. I don't know if you ever saw LT play, but LaVar can't carry his jockey strap. LT was a one man wrecking crew and every team in the league feared playing against him. He was truly one of a kind, a HOfamer. He changed the course of football games all by himself, LaVar could never do that.
