Yep, hard to say much about him when he's not playing.

Hopefully down the stretch this season we'll see him get a chance to play.

Re: The Moves We Should Make Next Year

Everybody in Washington is complaining that we have thrown away the future with free agents and all anyone wants to do is bring in more. Clements, Leftwich, we dont have the cap room for anyone unless we mortgage the future some more. We dont need a whole lot that we cant get in the draft. We have a first round pick and a few more. Its time to stop looking to fill all the holes with what everyone percieves to be superstars. Look at the Patriots, they have two rookie tackles playing for them right now, and recievers that no one ever heard of. With all that, they are 5-1. We on the other hand have the highest payed left tackle and he let Freeny molest Brunnell. They dont go out every year and buy a bunch of players that they think they will fill a whole, they develop them. We have enough super stars, now we need some more players like Ryan Clark. So for all of you that have a post that say we need to sign this guy and that guy, you are just recommending that they keep doing what the Redskins have been doing. All of our free agents from 2006 sounded great on paper. Look at them now.

Re: The Moves We Should Make Next Year

I'm crazy, so don't listen to me.......but if the season proves bust, it is obviously rebuilding time, considering the state of our defense. I would liquidate what we can..... meaning trade away our most appealing of players. Trade Santana moss for picks, trade betts for picks, trade sean taylor for picks, trade marcus washington, Chris Samuels for picks. I know these guys are the face of the franchise, but we arent gonna get S*(&*^*)(*&)(&^)*(&^ for anyone other than them. Then I would use these draft picks for a QB, D-Line, and O-line nothing else. I prefer Chad Henne to run saunders offense, i think he has the tools. I think we are in a deep hole right now, and it'll be tough to dig ourselves out with our current cap situation, so liquidation would be the quickest solution.

However, we could always turn things around this season. I know this is unrealistic.

Ummm yeah you are crazy. We couldn't afford to trade everyone away both from a talent standpoint and from a cap standpoint. We'd have to eat a ton of cap hits from trading the guys you outlined.

I think we will need to make some tough decisions with guys such as Springs, and frankly I think it's time to reshuffle the D a bit and bring in some fresh blood, but we can't just blow up the entire team.

With the talent and coaches we have, we'll fine tune and give it another shot.

I've said it time and time again, and you are exactly right in what you're saying CPDAMAN, I just wish we could convince the FO of the same thing. No matter how many times we say it, some just continue to think that FA hunting is the solution. Pipe Dream.

yeah, the cap situation blows, dan Snyder needs to go to salary cap school. I wish we had more flexibility. I do believe our O-line is good enough to build around, I just think there is too much pressure on them with brunell back there. He takes 52 step drops, then throws the ball out of bounds. I don't think he has avoided one potential sack this year with mobility.

Daniel Snyder should teach cap school. Every year the "experts" forsee the implosion.........that is the Skins CAP. I don't know how he does it, but he does. It may have something to do with the cash savvy that comes along with being a self made Billionaire..........with a B.

Re: The Moves We Should Make Next Year

just sliding under the cap is not a good thing, despite what people think, it kills us every year. that's why we get ripped off in the FA market every year. No one wants our players cause of the cap situations. There is a reason we had to give away lavar instead of getting something for him. Snyder does it wrong. (yes i know lavar bought his way out). it doesn't take a genious to offer rediculous signing bonuses. I think resigning players is more important than picking up free agents, and we havent done that effectively.

EXACTLY!!! He's a financial and salary cap GENIUS. Every year, the media and fans cry "the Redskins are broke, they can't afford any new players with their salary cap!" and every year Daniel Snyder works the contracts in a way that gets us any player we want. You may not like his parking fees or merchandise sales....but the man knows what he's doing and is the smartest owner (financial-wise) in the NFL.

Just sliding under the cap is a good thing, it means we're using all of our available financial resources. Why start a season with holes in the team and still have unspent cap money? That's like going into a battle with half a box of bullets.

Re: The Moves We Should Make Next Year

another reason sliding under tha cap is not good...........injuries, no cap room for injury replacements. No DEPTH on this team because of snyder's antics.

Re: The Moves We Should Make Next Year

why are people still fighting about Snyder?

he didn't pick Archuleta or Carter he just paid them. he'll pay whatever it takes to make his COACHES happy. that's a great owner. sure, it took him a while (painfully), but thats all in the past.

this is the guy who brought Gibbs back to Washington and gave him a hell of a blank check. what's not to like??

Next Big Name Snyder goes After

who will be the next big free agent acquisition by Snyder if it be this year or next???????????????

Brett Favre
Randy Moss
Michael Strahan
Ray Lewis

I know some of these guys wont be available, give me some names, so I can prepare myself for seeing through the hype of Snyder. The HYPE that gets people convinced that $35 for parking is reasonable.

you are tripping if you think Snyder is still making personnel decisions.
