Re: Skins expected to sign Fletcher
Prioleau started in Buffalo and has started for us. In fact he was one of our best defenders in 05. He really solidified the position. He is better than serviceable which is a lot better than we are at CB, OLB, MLB, DT and DE. As someone else said..."bigger fish to fry" by far.

Re: Skins expected to sign Fletcher
I don't know why it would be such a shock to send Marshall back to the bench.
Hello, we're looking to replace him at MLB... he's already in the process of losing his job. He'll likely have to compete with Rocky at OLB, and my guess is Rocky will have a good shot at beating him out at some point during the year due to his overall athleticism and potential. |

Re: Skins expected to sign Fletcher
Marshall is a perfect guy to have in rotation at LB. He knows every position but has been beat up at MLB. He is just a little small to play in the middle all the time.
I can't think of a better player to be the number 1 back up to each LB position out there. He knows the system and I bet that, even losing his starting job, he will see the field quite a bit.

Re: Skins expected to sign Fletcher
Saw this on profootballtalk.com...looks like Fletcher may be a done deal...
POSTED 8:16 p.m. EST, February 25, 2007 FLETCHER OFF THE MARKET? One of the hot rumors in Indy is that Bills linebacker London Fletcher already has struck a deal with the Washington Redskins. Fletcher, a nine-year veteran who has played with the Rams and the Bills, was believed to be a target of the Redskins and the Lions, and possibly others. Of course, even if the 'Skins and Fletcher have a deal, it doesn't mean that the arrangement is binding. Since any contact between a pending free agent and a different team is prohibited, there can be no binding contract at this point. Last year, it was widely believed that the Eagles had an agreement in principle with center LeCharles Bentley, who made a beeline for Cleveland once the free-agency period started. |

Re: Skins expected to sign Fletcher
By reading posts before you start your own thread. (this is probably coming off harsher than it's intended to be)

Re: Skins expected to sign Fletcher
I think this is a great fit for our team. London is a great linebacker who knows this defense really well. I would assume that bringing him in would make our linebacker core a strong point of this team. He is a guy who can make all the right calls at the line before the play starts and is a real leader of defenses. Could be a great move. He has the potential to be a PRO bowler in the NFC.
