Re: Fantasy Baseball?
Sorry guys, I had things to do out of the house last night...so I see someone dropped. That sucks. I had another one I missed last night as well.
I'm going away over the weekend, so in light of the recent events, I'm going to switch to a Roto League, with 7 of us. If you still want to do a live draft, let me know, and we can still do that, but there is the possibility of the season starting after Opening Day. If there are no objections, I'll set it to auto draft, and have it run over the weekend, so we're set for the season. The Commish

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
as I posted on the leagues page I'd personally prefer to still do a live draft as I have bad luck with auto drafts. we have tonight, tomorrow night, and saturday night to choose from and I can work around it to be there.

I set the draft for tomorrow night at 9pm. This allows people time to rearrange their draft queue if they aren't going to be there, and allow East and West Coast players to pick. If this needs to be changed, let me know, and I'll try to log on tonight to change it. However, if we don't draft tomorrow, the league start date will get pushed back a few days. I'll be allowing Yahoo! to pick for me, as I'll be out of town. League starts Sunday. Good luck!

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
Thanks Bohnzie. I've got plans tomorrow night, so I'll be auto drafting as well. Good luck to all!

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
Is there anything special I need to do to auto draft? I couldn't find any setting for it. I won't be at my computer during the draft, so I need to be sure that it will draft for me. Does anyone know?

I'm not even too disappointed by not having H2H, because I'm aslready in another H2H league. I've only done one roto league before, so it'll be a fun change of pace. I MIGHT be drafting myself, but not sure yet. I like having the option though. Draft on Saturday, play on Sunday. Talk about last minute. HA. |

You can modify the list if you want, but it has always worked out fine for me. You can log on and swap players after the draft anyways. So, you just need to sit back and let the servers work for you. |

Sammy Sosa is still playing...go for him. Glavine and Maddux are still the top 2 pitchers, go for them. Some kids named Kerry Wood and Mark Prior for the Cubs are going to be great. Mike Piazza can do everything. Ricky Henderson is going to make a comeback and steal 60 bases. Darryl Strawberry too. Cal Ripken Jr. and Ozzie Smith are the ONLY two good Shortstops in baseball. Ken Griffey Jr. is the best hitter in the majors. *Ok, everything I just said is total opposite of the truth if you need a few hints about things... |

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
Too late now probably.
I'm SO glad I made the live draft. I love my team. I picked 3rd, so I took Johan Santana. I'm surprised he was still available. Jeter was my second pick (I have him every year and he's awesome in fantasy b-ball). I took Carpenter in the 3rd round, so I have the 2 top pitchers in baseball. I also couldn't believe that Thome fell SO far. I grabbed him in the 17th ROUND! Here's my draft: 1. (3) Johan Santana P 2. (12) Derek Jeter SS 3. (17) Chris Carpenter P 4. (26) Mariano Rivera P 5. (31) Jermaine Dye RF 6. (40) Scott Kazmir P 7. (45) Corey Patterson CF 8. (54) Jorge Posada C 9. (59) Paul Konerko 1B 10. (68) Ryan Zimmerman 3B 11. (73) Adam Dunn LF 12. (82) Chone Figgins 2B,3B,LF,CF 13. (87) Brett Myers P 14. (96) Brandon Phillips 2B 15. (101) Chris Ray P 16. (110) Nick Markakis LF,CF,RF 17. (115) Jim Thome Util 18. (124) Jason Schmidt P 19. (129) Willy Taveras CF |

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
Yeah, I was admiring your pitchers, Buster ... you came out of the draft in pretty good shape.
What do you think of my draft? It seems like I'm weak at pitcher. 1. (5) José Reyes SS 2. (10) Carlos Beltrán CF 3. (19) Lance Berkman 1B,RF 4. (24) Ichiro Suzuki CF,RF 5. (33) Derrek Lee 1B 6. (38) Aramis Ramírez 3B 7. (47) Víctor Martínez C,1B 8. (52) Brian Roberts 2B 9. (61) Hideki Matsui LF 10. (66) Félix Hernández P 11. (75) Trevor Hoffman P 12. (80) Matt Cain P 13. (89) Tom Gordon P 14. (94) Chad Cordero P 15. (103) Rocco Baldelli CF 16. (108) Richie Sexson 1B 17. (117) Felipe López SS 18. (122) Mark Teahen 3B 19. (131) Randy Johnson P In case it's not obvious, I did the auto draft

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
How did Dontrelle Willis fall to the last round?!?!? I autodrafted as well, and aside from a few moves I'll make over the next few days, I'm content with this team.
1. (1) Albert Pujols 1B 2. (14) David Ortiz 1B 3. (15) Miguel Cabrera 3B 4. (28) Hanley Ramírez SS 5. (29) Vernon Wells CF 6. (42) Roy Oswalt P 7. (43) Roy Halladay P 8. (56) B.J. Ryan P 9. (57) John Smoltz P 10. (70) Delmon Young RF 11. (71) J.J. Putz P 12. (84) Rickie Weeks 2B 13. (85) Nick Swisher 1B,LF 14. (98) Ramón Hernández C 15. (99) Bill Hall 3B,SS 16. (112) Magglio Ordóñez RF 17. (113) Howie Kendrick 1B,2B 18. (126) Adrián Béltre 3B 19. (127) Dontrelle Willis P

Re: Fantasy Baseball?
There was a lot of good catchers going around Round 7, so I had to change plans mid-way through and grab Posada before the very few good catchers were gone. I was hoping to grab V-Mart, but oh well...Jorge will work.
I thought about grabbing Willis, but I had to get a utillity OF (plays all positions) late as a good bench player, so I took Markakis. Then I saw Thome still available in Rnd 17 which blew my mind. I grabbed Schmidt and was looking at grabbing Willis, but decided I needed a few more steals since we're playing Roto...and took Tavares. I guess having only 7 teams makes everyone's roster look good. |
