Is it just me, or does everyone (both the 16-0 and the 0-16 crowds) seem a little testy?

I seem to recall our penetration being next to nothing during those playoff games as well.

Run the ball, and stop the run. Those are the Redskin priorities. Therefore, it is no surprise that they put emphasis on running back and linebacker.
Remember, when Portis was hurt in the preseason, the Skins went into enough of a panic as to completely flush their 3rd round pick. |

Re: So what you're telling me is...
I just wanted to post this to continue my little argument with jsarno and skinfan_nn from yesterday regarding LB and our supposed great depth. I clipped this from today's Washington Post article:
"This coaching staff has been aiming to cultivate quality young backups at linebacker for three years, but the Redskins failed with several late-round picks. They only had five NFL-level linebackers entering the draft, and there are concerns about the status of two key linebackers, Marcus Washington (hip) and 2006 second-round pick Rocky McIntosh (knee), both of whom will be monitored closely." "We were short on numbers at linebacker, and that's one of the things we had highlighted," Coach Joe Gibbs said. "We were kind of holding our breath there [in the sixth round], because there were a couple of linebackers we thought could make the team." Obviously the LB position, both for starters and reserves, is an area of concern. We only had 5 heading into the draft (3 of whom are 30+, 2 coming off injury), and now we have two more guy Gibbs "thinks can make the team." Makes me nervous...

I'm failing to see your point. Now we have 2 more lb's, so our numbers are up. ps- I never said we had GREAT depth. But we do have decent depth now, and our LB's are better for it.
