Sounds like JC want to WIN!!!!!!!!!!! Me and a few other posters from the Wash Posts Skins forum were dubbed crazy for wanting to put JC in to begin last season, but if he would have been the starter we would have probably ended up 9-7 and maybe a wildcard. IF this article is on the level, JC is going to be much improved this season and will be hot in '08. One full season in at starter is what he needs. I just hope Llyod can become a viable weapon for JC to throw to and that Randle El improves also. It was too much of the Moss/ Cooley show last season.

I don't know about that.

Had we started JC from Week 1, he would have most likely been playing great football at the end of the year, but we wouldn't have won games like Jacksonville and Dallas in the first half of the year. Thinking 9-7 with our defense last year is pretty downright insane. He's not Jesus.

We probably wouldn't have done a lot worse on the whole starting Campbell the whole year but we would have been really pathetic in the first half of last year, and mentally, we aren't sure how that would affect the future of this team.

I'm satisfied with the way our QB situation was handled last year.

i agree with you southpaw, lloyd got very little in the way of first-option looks and should have a better year . .

to me there is nothing more exciting then having a potential franchise quarterback developing right before our eyes. will he be the next peyton, mcnair, mcnabb or just a decent qb like bledsoe, hasselback, plummer????

next year we should have an idea . . go skins!!

My only concern with Campbell is that he doesn't have the big receiver who can move the chains. If you look at our receivers they are very small speed guys. I would like us to find a big physical guy to complement Moss. Many of you may say that guy is Cooley. I love Cooley but he isn't the guy that is going to run a 5-8 yard slant from a wide out slot and get your the first down on third down. What do you all think?

all three of our wide recievers can do that now

Could not agree w/ u more on this. We need a guy who is 6'3 or 6'4 who is a possesion wr.

Well, we dont have one, we are not going to get one and we will be fine without one.

The problem with possession receivers is that they have no versitility or added value on special teams. Gibbs likes football players, not position players.

no we really dont NEED that at all i mean it couldnt hurt or could it in 2005 we didnt have that what we need to bring back are those screen passes that were so efective for santana and use them for antwaan and brandon that is what we need we dont nned a 6'3 or 6'4 reciever the steelers didnt have that when they won the super bowl and neither did the pats

Well, the Steelers had a really really good defense. We don't. Pats have Tom Brady and a really really good defense. We don't.

The opposing defensive coordinators have caught on to that screen pass. It didn't work at all last year. Teams were waiting for it.

But Washington quarterback Jason Campbell is said to look especially good.

After two years in the league as an understudy, and four hours each day this winter and spring in Washington's training facility simply studying, Campbell is said to look like a different quarterback, Redskins officials said this week.

One observer even predicted, boldly, that Campbell would go to the Pro Bowl this season.

Of course it's a long way from Washington in May to Hawaii in February, but Campbell has demonstrated improved technique, understanding and confidence. And after a week of OTA's, he has been the most talked about player in the Redskins organization.

"It's unanimous from everybody," one Redskins official said this week. "You can definitely see it. He's like a totally different quarterback. The receivers have been like, 'Wow.' "

Much of the credit belongs to Washington offensive coordinator Al Saunders and quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor, who have poured their energies and time into Campbell's offseason training.

But Campbell also has recognized that the Redskins need him to step up in a way that Patrick Ramsey and Mark Brunell and every other Washington quarterback in recent seasons hasn't.

So far he has. But the key will be whether he will continue it in training camp and then into the regular season.

I love JC, and I think that he is our future. While it is nice to hear all of these great things about him this offseason, I still cannot help but realize that they are still in underwear and helmets right now. I will get excited when I see the same things in game situations.
