Re: Do you think Casey Bramlet has a chance to make #3 QB
LOL
Yeah well we can get all caught up in training camp heroes and I'm sure I'll make a big fuss over HB Blades and I'll watch Casey Bramlet... But man, we're really riding on one man: Jason Campbell. Jason Jason, he's our man, if he can't do it, no one can!

Re: Do you think Casey Bramlet has a chance to make #3 QB
of course he has a chance to be # 3. he is on the team because the coaches saw something in him that they liked. they sent him to europe to see what he could do over there and he is the best quarterback in the leauge.
so they picked him up because they saw talent and now he is very succesful in europe and people think he will be released. if they do that what the hell was the point in bringing him here in the first place. |

Success in NFLE still doesn't guarantee anything over here.

It's about creating competition and spreading your eggs in different baskets. You sign a Bramlet, you draft a Palmer, and you let them fight it out with Todd Collins. There, you have two chances for a young QB to show some promise to unseat your cagey old vet, instead of just one chance. Acquiring a guy does not necessarily mean you're committed to him. It means you're committing to getting a closer look at him to see what he can do. So it shouldn't be a foregone conclusion that Bramlet will make the roster at this point, for all we know (and all Gibbs knows) Jordan Palmer could look better in training camp. That said, I do like what I've seen from Bramlet.

thats why i said he has a chance to be # 3 and not its a forgone conclusion. nfl europe is definitely not a benchmark for success in the nfl but they send players over there for a reason and he has more than given the coaches what they were looking for. yes i agree that if palmer beats him out in training cam he should and will be the # 3 but i honestly feel that bramlets performance in europe has earned him the #3 job. #1 quarterback is the most important job in the nfl. #2 is top 5 in importance but # 3 in my opinion is for a young guy with potential and that is why i believe they will go with either bramlet or palmer and release collins. bramlet is my choice because of his performance in europe. |
