Re: nfl network gone?

Now, if I can only figure out how to piggy-back the TV signal to a monitor located IN the bathroom, I'll never miss another play. Heck, I may never come out if this happens!

do you remeber the device called the rabbit? When statlite TV first came out you could only hook it up to one TV. So Radio Shack came up with the rabbit it would send the feed to other TV's in your house wireless.

Basically you need a rabbit for your bathroom.

As a matter of fact, yes I do remember the "Rabbit." Unfortunately, the one I purchased many years ago (about the time I subscribed to DirecTV) is taking a dirt nap. Is there not another type of relay equip. that works w/ a satellite feed?

Well the beer and chicks would draw me to Central Europe. THe Germans are thinking about posting speed limits on the Autobahn though and no redlight districts for me. E European women are exquisite though. No short fat chicks at all, and best of all they love short skirts still, or at least they did the last time I went. Central and Eastern Europe kicks ass. It still has an old country feel to it. Not overly touristy yet. Prague is becoming that way I heard, but Budapest and Bratislava are diamonds in the rough still.

LOL...I do the EXACT same thing. I don't like taking long breaks, but a good 2-4 minute one is fine by me. It works out great.
I usually do it during a sitcom or something and I'll go get my dinner ready and it will be on pause for at least 20 minutes. You realize how many commercials there are when you pause it for that long. It's really annoying.

In actuallity there is a better way, and provides a better feed. All you need to do is splice it and put an "A/B" switch on it when it comes into the other room. That way you can watch whatever you want on the other tv, or you can switch it to be and watch whatever is on your main TV. It's really simple, all you need to buy is enough cable to get it to the other room, and that A/B switch you can get at radio shack. (oh and you need a simple splitter.)

Uh, the cons are that you will lose the ability to watch TV in the worst storm of the year in which the power lines are falling around you and the power is likely out anyway. Which doesnt often happen during football season might I add.

Pros: everything else.

Re: nfl network gone?

Ive had both comcast and directv and prefer comcast all the way. directv wants you to pay for everything extra... charging hundreds of dollars for hd/dvr boxes...

i have digital plus + HD and 2 hd/dvr boxes along with the high speed internet and have HBO and Starz for 60 bucks/month.

I'm a happy camper right now... I wouldn't be happy if they took NFL away from me, but I'd pay a little extra for it. I have friend's and family who have upgraded to HDTV's int he past few years and been told they need to spend over a grand to get the new dish/box combo to make it work since their old (1 -2 year) systems wont cut it...

f that.

Yeah.

I got FIOS as soon as I could, i.e. last Dec 29th.

Picture is Un-Freakking-believable!

I've got 10 year old 13" emerson tv's in my kids rooms and they look like they are in 3-D

Ingternet download AND upload screams. (Did 47mgb download today in about 2 minutes).

Phone is crystal clear, with free long-distance.

OH, Yeah, The HD channels are free.

No shit.

I have 1 dvr, 5 other boxes (don't ask), super high speed Internet, TV and Telephone and the whole shooting match is about $170/mo.

NFL Network, yeah we got that.

5 espn's and a bunch more crap.

Did I mention HD Is free?

The techs gave me free HDMI cables and free 'monster cables' in case I got HD later. I have.

I had a problem once with one box.

Called at 7pm and tech tech came out the very next day and fixed it in 10 minutes.

The moment this is available in your area, get it.

Hoping it doesn't violate any guidelines, buthere is a site to check if it is in your area:

http://www22.verizon.com/content/ConsumerFios

I promise I do not work for verizon.

I'm telling you, I can't wait for football season.

Re: nfl network gone?

How do people feel about getting sunday ticket even when living in walking distance of a sports bar (assuming you're out of the DC area)? I mean, going to a sports bar and cozying up in your living room are completely different atmospheres, right?

btw - Sunday ticket is the best thing to come out since automobiles, lol.

I just got the NFL network through comcast for $5 additional a month for the first year, who knows after that!
