Re: Around the NFL (Week 2)

Yep Raiders are about to lose, first and goal Denver, it's a friggin chip shot now.

EDIT: Raiders lost. I can only imagine what they are feeling right now, having kicked the game winner only to find out it didn't count, and then they lose the game.

The NFL tends to be very loose on the rules involving the Raiders. Shanahan is a giant ****bag and they should NOT have allowed him to take a time out after the fact. If it was a low intensity play in the 3rd quarter, and had he tried to take a timeout right at the snap, they probably would have ignored him. He had his ten seconds to ice the kicker, the Raiders got the snap off before the whistle, and both sides played out the snap.

If I'm Lane Kiffin, I would have pulled my team off the field right there. If the game goes under protest, then it goes under protest. I would not allow my team to be embarassed at the hands of a rival after I legitimatly won the game.

In the grand scheme of things, this game isn't going to cost the Raiders anything but pride, but after seven years of stuff like this, Al Davis' patience with the officiating has to be wearing thin. It is one more win for the Denver Broncos that very generously I can say they didn't deserve.

I'm not talking national media, i'm talking general population. They're talking up the Broncos right now on NFL Total Access btw.

I hear a lot out here, but that's cause if you're not a Cowboys fan, you're a Broncos fan, but it seems as if no one gave them a shot with Cutler at the helm.

I don't give a crap about the Broncos or Raiders, I'd just rather see the Raiders win.

Re: Around the NFL (Week 2)

I think I still have hatred of the Raiders since 1983, but at this point, if they played the Patriots, I'd pull for them.

100% agree!
I hate the Patriots...almost as much as I hate the Cowboys. If those two teams faced off in the super bowl, I honestly feel like I wouldn't watch the game at all.

I hate the Chargers. Well no, it's not so much that I hate the Chargers it's that I hate Norv Turner. Well now, it's not so much that I hate Norv Turner it's that he doesn't deserve to be the head coach of that team.

You can maybe (MAYBE) make the argument that he deserves to be a head coach. Although I don't see it. But he doesn't deserve the Chargers.

I would never make that argument...he deserves to be an OC.

Re: Around the NFL (Week 2)

I like the Chargers, and I dislike the Patriots. But yeah with Norval as their head coach they aren't gonna go anywhere. It was a really bad decision to let go of Marty, even more so because they replaced him with Norv.

I hate all NFL teams not named the Washington Redskins. And I especially hate the Dallas Cowboys (
