True. But just because people are saying the Skins look like shit despite the win, doesn't mean they aren't fans either. I find it very very interesting that those of us who criticize this team are "on the bench" with reputation points, while most if not all of the Kool Aid gang are "players on the rise." Maybe cause those who have the points to give take care of their own? By the way, if someone is gonna give you negative rep points you should know who those individuals are. The whole rep points thing is pointless. |

Seriously though, I can't speak for others but personally I've given positive points to some Cowboys fans here as well as some that said we don't have a shot at the playoffs. So this "take care of their own" nonsense is just that. Good posts are rewarded, whether I agree with them or not.

Re: Who is "weakest" team with winning record?
the reason we lump it on the skins is because their the team we care about. We want the skins to win and kick ass and were tired of them struggling against crappy teams. Yes a bad win is better than a lost. But big picture this team not going anywhere until this offense pulls their weight. Where is the improvement on this team after 8 games? D starting to show some wholes, ST gave up a KO return sunday and god this offense is sad. Keeping JC underwraps makes no sense. Let the man play and let him make his mistakes and learn. 3 yard passed when its third and 5 is getting old. 8 yard passes on third and 10 etc. The skins can do better that what we all want, and yes we won which is great but let be real and say this team has to improve or we are going nowhere fast. We have a chance in this crappy NFC to make the playoffs. If we play like we have the last two weeks we wont.

Re: Who is "weakest" team with winning record?
i can give a rat ass about the other teams. I'm just holding my team up to a higher standard of play if they want to succeed. We want to be postive but just not blinded by it, we have to look threw the forest to see the trees.

I don't understand why we are talking about teams that don't deserve their records, think about it, the skins could'a had it a lot worse, and we have a winnable game on sunday.

Well then you can't really answer the question in this thread since you don't even seem to pay attention to any other teams.

Re: Who is "weakest" team with winning record?
Personally, I believe I've moved on from being unimpressed to acceptance that this is the team we've got. Take away the Patriots and the Colts, and to a lesser degree the Cowchips and the Packers, and the 28 remaining teams are completely up in the air. Apart from the clubs at the very top, any of the other teams are as vulnerable or as dominant as they feel like being from week to week.
My beef isn't necessarily with the players we have now, because they are what they are, and due to ass-kicking we've been taking in the injury department, there's only so far this team is going to go. And for the most part, the players are giving us the best they're capable of -- the obvious exceptions are Santana Moss, and up until yesterday, Clinton Portis. Those are guys who need to step the hell up. Now, a separate argument is what this front office has done to prepare for injuries, and the track record they've had over four years to right this ship. Is it legitimate to complain that we aren't in that top tier of the league? I think so. That's where my hate is directed. |

Re: Who is "weakest" team with winning record?
Well, sadly, we have the lowest total points scored (152) of any winning team (I'm not including the Ravens because they play tonight). We have also been outscored by our opponents this year (160), even though a third of that came in one game. So aside from the Patriots aberration we're outscoring opponents 145-108 (average game score of 20-15). Not bad. Plus our three losses are to teams that are a combined 22-3. We haven't exactly had the toughest road in our wins though, with our victories over teams that are a combined 13-28!!! That's a glaring number right there. And only 1 of our 5 wins is against a winning team (Detroit). Could we be the "weakest" team with a winning record??? I think we might be.
Other contenders IMO: Detroit, Tampa, Jacksonville

Re: Who is "weakest" team with winning record?
Baltimore stinks, while they have a rock solid defense but their offense is just middle of the road at best. Like my teacher said tonight "If the Steelers get up 14-0 on the Ravens that game is over".
I think at this point in the season, the Redskins could beat the Ravens.
