Re: If Gibbs Goes, Who coaches next year?
That's true, and it's evident by threads like this. Too many fans have the "grass is greener on the other side" mentality. I mean, I understand not wanting to be satisfied with an 8-8 team, especially a team that can't get to the Super Bowl. But on the other hand, you don't become a Super Bowl team over night. I don't believe you can put a time limit on building a foundation to a winning team. I've said it before, if it takes Gibbs five years to build a team that will win on a consistent basis year after year, then by all means, take that long. I'd rather have that than one Super Bowl year and another decade (or longer) of losing.

If we were getting blown out in ever loss we have had since Gibbs has come back, then I'd be worried, but that isn't the case. There is a fine line between being a top team and being a losing team. I believe you make a coaching change now, and you remove all doubt that this team's stablity will be gone, and everything we have worked up to at this point will be scraped.

Re: If Gibbs Goes, Who coaches next year?
This is BS. Gibbs assembled this bunch to win now, not to be a perennial contender over the next several years. Too many injury prone vets on this team.

Re: If Gibbs Goes, Who coaches next year?
AMEN brother!!! How many AFC Championships did Cowher lose AT HOME? At least two that I can recall. Gibbs lost ONLY ONE postseason game at home in his entire career. I really don't see Cowher as the answer to advance us further. Before he won his Super Bowl and got out, I considered Cowher just another Schottenheimer.
