Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

I sure hope I'm wrong...I went Vikes....why?
They will stick with the run, something other running teams abandoned against us.
We are missing Rocky and there is a dropoff there on D

To win, they must make some offensive coaching mistakes like trying to pass too much and our Oline must play much better for portis betts and especially Collins

Of course it will be close
21-17 Vikes....ugh

Pessimistic as I am, I can't help thinking that if we were to miraculously win against the Vikes, the Cowboys shouldn't even bother showing up to Fedex in week 17 - put that one down as a skins win.

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

I dunno, I mean I think we have the talent to win, but I see the vikes d going for a score , and I really fear Peterson putting 200-300 yds on us.

I hope I'm wrong...

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

Depends on how we can handle the dynamic duo in the Vikes backfield. What Jacobs did to us last weekend wasn't a good omen though. Skins can win for sure, but you win games in the trenches like Madden always said and the Vikes have the advantage there. Remember we are further depleted at D with Rocky gone. Sure Blades has potential, but do you think he can handle Peterson and Taylor? Not sure the answer is in the affirmative. We really need to be playing our A game Sunday night and really haven't had an A game for awhile now. Vikes 17 Skins 13

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

vikes are too one dimensional on offense. I was weary to pick us, only because i picked against us last week and we won, but 4 weeks ago i picked these games....

I hope im right this week. Skins win in a very tight one. I think we'll break it open pretty quickly with a short passing game and a few long bombs to santana and they'll have to break away from their running game. we're playing in a dome and our coordinators know we have to jump out on top of these guys quickly so they don't take their game to us...

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

Best chance to win is if Tarvis Jackson throws 3-4 picks, but I think the Vikes coaching staff will have a run heavy gameplan for us. If Jackson throws it will be short stuff or trying to hit guys deep on the fly, nothing more.

I think Smoot will be good for at least 1 pick, facing his former club. I mean, he was on the sex boat... He will try to extract some revenge. Do you have confidence in Todd to get it done? I suppose as much as Tervaris Jackson from what I saw on Monday night. I still think Peterson is the real deal, and am really nervous about getting scorched on SNF.

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

I have a feeling the Redskins will show up with an outstanding performance against the Vi-Queens. The key is to contain Taylor and Peterson and force Tavarius Jackson to throw. I think the Skins are capable and I think the offense will score just enough points for the victory. I will be a close one.

Redskins 24
Vi-Queens 21

I'm not really sure, It kinda feels like a Skins vs. Eagles game to me. When we play the Eagles and have to win, we must stop Brian Westbrook. If we can't stop AP, we are in for a very long day.

Skins 24
Vikings 21
In overtime.

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

Skins Run Defense has given up 2 100 yard rushers this year. Unfortunately, one was last week (Jacobs 130). The "bend, don't break" mentality will not work with Adrian Peterson, as he will exploit holes in the defense faster than sulfuric acid. The front 7/8 are going to have to contain Peterson and Taylor and make Tavaris Jackson beat the Skins through the air...

Fortunately for the Skins, the Vikings pass offense is horrible to say the least. They were only able to come back last week because of how incredibly shitty the Bears have been this year.

The game rests on the shoulders of Todd Collins, who will have nearly ideal conditions inside the Homerdome. He is going to have to exploit the Vikings secondary, especially with no Antoine Winfield (although he's not on the injury report...). Vikes have the #1 rush defense, so if C-Po and Betts can get motoring, it could be a long day for the Purple Faithful.

No score prediction, just hoping for 2 wins on NBC in a row. "Now, here's a guy who likes to hope..."

Interesting predictions on espn.com - out of 5 of them - Ditka, Keyshawn, Emmit, Mort & Jackson - only Mort picked the skins.

Also, all 5 picked buffalo over nyg!

Re: Redskins vs Vikings Predictions

Well once again we have 11 who post as diehard skins fans and spen allot of time here talking skins football only to pick the Vikes in what is our most important game of the season. Not sure how a how someone could pick against thier team when a loss would knock them out of the playoff hopes and once again I hope our players do not go into the game thinking this way. Even is we were playing the Pats I could not pick them to loose. I might not bet on them but I could not pick them to loose.

Skins shut down the one and Collins finds those holes in the Vikes D.
skins 31
vikes 17
We are also due for a game scoring over 30.

Are you serious? Ok,Skins 75 Vikes. 3
Now back to planet earth. Skins 17 Vikes 21.
Picking the Skins to LOOSE hardly means I'm not a fan.
As we all know anything can happen in the NFL.The Skins may beat the hell out of the Vikes and I hope they do but...predictions are just opinions.

there were many people here who thought we'd win 7-8 games this year, before the season even started. I don't think anyone picked us to go 16-0. Those losses have to come from somewhere..

I dont get why we have a predictions thread every week and half the thread is used to call out people who pick against the skins, or attack their "fanhood" (if that's not a word it should be)

Maybe we should call it the Pick the Skins or Fuck You thread.

I picked us this week, but I don't pick us every week, and the closer it comes to game day the more nervous I am about stopping their running game.

p.s. not trying to start a pissing match and not saying anything particular to you firstdown, just making an observation.

It works both ways. Last week someone was calling everyone out who had picked the Skins over the Giants calling everyone homers.
