and colt had a whole 1.5 seconds before he had to get rid the football. Hawaii got dominated, but most of the domination was done by Georgia's d-line on Hawaii's o-line. at least Colt showed that he could take a hard hit and get back up

Your last line sounded like another QB we drafted.

Re: What if Colt Brennan falls to the middle late rounds?

I like Colt and I think he has a good chance to become a great QB in the NFL. I live in Idaho so I follow Boise State and Hawaii every year. He's done pretty well under pressure and has had a lot of come-back games. I know he didn't do too well in the Senior Bowl and he probably is a work in progress but he has the talent and potential imo. He also didn't do too well in the Georgia game but like a couple ppl mentioned his o-line got killed and he's really the main reason they even got the chance to play in that game. I don't know if he's the right choice for the Skins but I think he might surprise some ppl when he gets his chance to play in the NFL but I might be wrong....

CB was the only reason they got to play in that game. No matter what side you're on in this debate, judging the kid on that one and only game is just silly. His O line got him killed, with.01 seconds to get rid of the ball. Kid's tough, I say sure.(late rounds)

brennan doesn't have the arm or poise of brady and brady was bigger and taller too. I'll take that bet if you want though .

Maybe taller, but brady was so frail when he entered the nfl.

I was just responding to the guy that said brady was taller and bigger. Have you ever seen the pic of him in the combine, he probobly weighed 170 lbs, with zero muscle tone. Given he got bigger, so can colt

Re: What if Colt Brennan falls to the middle late rounds?

No to Brennan!!!! At the QB position you have to look at who he played for and the opposition he had over his career. Hawaii is in the most pathetic Div 1A division out there. Even the MAC is a lot better than their conference. As for his records, if a decent HS QB played against a bunch of junior high kids he would have ungodly numbers also. I know that is an exaggeration, but look at what happened in the bowl game. Hawaii was schooled and shown that they didn't belong in the BCS. Brennan was wasted. Think the kid is going to do any better in the Biggest league of them all? This is a weak year for QB's in my opinion. I even think the kid from Missouri is overrated. Only decent QB's are Dixon and the guy from BC, and even he would be a big gamble. If we do draft a QB( I think we need to) we need to go under the radar and pick a kid from a smaller school.(like Gus from Tulsa)

if colt brennan falls to us in the sixth round i would do it, but any earlier it would be a waste because he doesnt have a very big arm and hes undersized

We Need To Pick This Kid Up, Even Though He Throws A Little Side Arm, He Still Is Extremely Accurate Esp. In The West Coast Off. That He Played In Hawaii!!!! Colt Brennan Needs To Be In There Plans Because That Kid Has More Promise Than Bo Bo Brain Brohm Or Any Of Those Schmucks!!!

For a guy that's set all kinds of records and can obviously play, should we draft him if he slides to the 3rd-5th round of the draft.

I think you've got to take a chance on him if he slides to the 4th round or later (i believe we have a 4th....no i didn't research it). Yes, i know JC is our guy, but why not take a chance to groom someone that could work on mechanics and build strength. Then in a couple years, who knows...Good qb's are hard to find and everyone wants one. Think of Rivers/Brees. Thoughts?
After watching him against Georgia, I say let him keep falling.

Here is the kid to get in the mid to latter rounds as the third QB!

Josh Johnson - San Diego.

He simply dominated 1-AA competition his senior year! 1 INT in 301 attempts! Career TD to INT ratio was 113 - 15!

Re: What if Colt Brennan falls to the middle late rounds?

You have to compare Brennan to other mid round QB prospects that your scouts decide on.

We have a need at QB, so if we're in the 6th and he's the highest rated QB on our board, I mean, why not. But you don't just take the guy because he's Colt Brennan. If you have a higher rated prospect, that would be stupid.

I bet you if this guy's first name was Mortimer there would be a lot less supporters of this QB.

Some people just like the sound of a name as opposed to the attributes of the player.
