Re: Picking Kelly over Sweed

Re: Picking Kelly over Sweed
so only 2 routes that Moss or Randle El or Devin Thomas can run. You dont have to be a bunner to be a good reciever. Remember game speed and timed speed 2 different things.

Re: Picking Kelly over Sweed
Also Malcolm Kelly is more explosive off the ball than Sweed is in my opinion.

Re: Picking Kelly over Sweed
sweed seems more like a bust... i mean, i don't think any of this year's WRs were locks for pro bowls, but sweed would probably be #7 or 8 on my list, which puts him deep in the 3rd round.

Re: Picking Kelly over Sweed
Sweed is somewhat enticing because he is a 4 year senior in the middle of a heavily Junior class, but that wrist injury does make him a less-appealing guy from an experience standpoint.
For now, I'll take Kelly over Sweed, but I'm going to follow Sweed's career closely, he'll be an interesting case study. I believe that the Redskins probably had Kelly overrated on their own board, but at the spot where they actually drafted him, the only foul was that the need was theoretically filled at that point. The value was excellent.

Re: Picking Kelly over Sweed
While we're on it, can anyone think of a straight line more important then the 40 yard dash?

Re: Picking Kelly over Sweed
game speed is the most important thing, when having this conversation. Jerry Rice wasn't the fastest 40 guy, but i cant ever remember him being caught from behind
