"Rank your current confidence level in Zorn with 5 being total confidence and 1 being none." It seems to me that 3 would be the natural choice seeing he hasn't done squat-diddly for me to give him positive or negative confidence rating. Also, pre-season doesn't build confidence...not when you subscribe to sadenism anyways.

Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™
Draft -Pretty Good
Offseason Moves - Pretty Good Pre-season Game - Dam Good Training Camp - Great I see no reason not to give him a 4 or 5, He's seemed to done everything perfect thus far. No crazy outlandish garbage, but good, solid, aggresive moves. Without Jason Taylor I would definetly lower my grade, he got that deal done in 2 hours. Lets just hope that he doesn't start salsa dancing his way to the QB. Zorn's the man thus far, and as of right now I got mad faith in this cat. He's impressed me to the point where I actually think we have a chance at making the playoff's. And beat the cowgirls in Week 3. I gave him a 5

Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™
I voted a 3. I love the attention to detail, the improvements in JC's mechanics, so far the O looks solid and pretty fluid (but it is pre-season). I like the cut-back lanes that appear to be opening, that didn't in Gibbs/Saunders more compressed formations.
Also, no off-the-field issues with players or coaches power struggles/bickering. We've got a ways to go, but so far so good.

i think some of you are misinterpreting the question. it's not how you think zorn is gonna do in the future, it's rank your CURRENT feelings. basicaly, how has he done thus far. i would CURRENTLY give a 5 . i know this could all come to a screaching halt but CURRENTLY i couldn't be more thrilled. the players really seem upbeat, they seem to be taking a liking to the new offense and to his coaching style and even though it was only a preseason game, the team looked pretty good. they were efficiant on offense, stingy on defense and they played smart.

Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™
He gets a 3 from me right now. It's been one preseason game, way too early to accurately judge how good of a coach he is. I will say this, if he shows me good stuff in the regular season my confidence in him will grow.

I like the direction of the team; its not all Zorn. I'm thankful they took their time to select him. Hope all goes well.

Given your position vis a vis pre-season you shouldn't have answered the Poll until after the first regular season game, right? I subscribe to Rattist Zen. Costs me $10 a month. |

5. for the reason that he is the right person for this team and most importantly JC and for that matter, CB.

I guess the question is somewhat vague. I took it to mean, "Do you have confidence that Jim Zorn is going to succeed?" The next Zornometer must not be so ambiguous!

Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™
i'm not trying to start an arguement with you or anything but why just a 1.5. do you not think he's been good thus far, from the day he was hired as head coach till today. have you seen something that you find troubling? something that i might not be seeing.

Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™
I just don't think his coaching job is all that hard right now. It won't really get hard until the season starts and then we will see the real coach. So I don't want to give him a 5. Anybody could come in and make things better just because they are different. It's like meeting a new girlfriend/boyfriend.. the rose colored glasses are always on at first, and then later the truth comes out. He's been good so far, normal I'd say. Nothing I wouldn't expect has happened, but nothing I'm going to call home about either. We have a great group of players out there that should be making it rather easy for him in my opinion. You want me to give someone a 5? I give it to our Skins... the players. When things start getting tough during the season is when we'll see if this coach shines or not. I hate giving too much credit to a coah for something I'm not so sure he deserve yet.
