I call it like I see it, Republican platform stinks and the party's base leaves much to be desired. If you disagree, that's your prerogative but don't go and call me ignorant because I find your party to be repulsive. That's my prerogative.

As a Republican, a moderate Republican who is not anti-immigration nor anti-gay (I know. How is that even possible if I'm a registered Republican) I hope that the 2008 platform is substantive and addresses the issues that really matter: economy, foreign policy, education, health care. While I don't agree with everything the Dems present I thought they did a strong job in stating their case.

Should the No Child Left Behind law be reformed, and how? Is there a problem with too much ideological dogmatism in higher education? How should the federal government respond to colleges and universities that insist upon discriminating against the United States military? Do you support homeschooling and school choice?

Energy:
What role should oil, natural gas, and coal play in our energy future? What about clean fuels such as nuclear, solar, and wind power? Given high gas prices, should the gas tax be repealed or should it be increased in order to discourage people from driving cars? Health Care:
