Re: Reason Why the Cowboys will Win or Lose

Why Will The Redskins Win The Game

1. The Girls are over-confident and are underestimating the Skins.
2. Moss is going to have a huge day against the suspect Dallas secondary.
3. Homo is going to do his best Brett Farve impression and throw the ball up for grabs many times.
4. TO is going to implode and throw a tantrum on the sideline because Homo can't get the ball to him.
5. By the fourth quarter the fans will be booing the girls in blue.

Why Will The Redskins Lose The Game

1. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is shutdown and the Redskins plane is denied access to any airport in the Dallas area.
2. The entire Washington Redskins team get the flu.
3. Mars attacks!

There is a saying in the NFL that maybe you have heard. "You have to be in it to win it".

And sometimes that means that GM's may have to take a chance, gamble, risk or whatever you want to call it with very talented players with questionable pasts.

So far the gambles are paying off for the Cowboys though. Owens was always a pain in the ass in San Fran and Philly. Now, for every season he has been in Dallas he has been a perfect team mate, and even you can't deny that. People criticized the way Owens treated his QB in San Fran (Garcia) and the way he treated McNAbb in Philly. Now, when he has a great releationship with his QB and will pubilcally defend his QB (even to the point of tears, instead of publically attacking his QB) he is still scrutinized. The hypocracy baffles me.

What about Tank Johnson? Cancer in Chicago, but in Dallas his is a model team mate and citizen with several local charities he over sees.

Then Adam Jones. Not one issue off the field, not one. And did you know that he donated and distributed over a million dollars worth of school supplies in the Dallas area to children whose parents could not afford them? And he did this BEFORE he got reinstated, which means he did it before he got his pay started in Dallas. Pacman has been very active in the Dallas community.

Thing is those players may have been trouble elsewhere, but since coming to Dallas they have been model citizens, and I dare say they might even live up to the Redskins fans high expectations of "character".

When Jerry Jones bought the Cowboys he got the team for 450 million dollars.
Now the team value is the highest in the league at just over 1.7 BILLION.

You do not get that type of return without taking a few chances. And so far they are paying off nicely.
These are the rules your team your team has chosen to live by. These are not universal truths. If integrity has no meaning to the Cowboys........so be it!
Oh yea, there is another saying on a more global scale that I imagine pre-dates the NFL by a few millenia....You reap what you sow......

Yeah well I did not hear all the Redskins fans creaming "character" when Sean Taylor was putting a gun in someones face.

i respect you, and too many redskins get caught up in the hype, but here is two points you should take to the bank, 1. if you do win, dallas will have a major loss to injury. 2. we also have the ability to spread them out, everything you have we have, a great running back, top receivers, maybe better overall cause after T.O., then just back ups, 2. our TE is just as good are better, your QB is better, but only because your O-line is a little better than ours, but our Defense have one thing yours dont. You bring a good point. ST had his moments of transgression, for sure. You might point out as well, that ST was well on his way to complete turn around in the lifestyle toward the positive.
I don't think you can make that case, (at least not for long) as "First" pointed out, these are the good times. When things go a little South, TO will be bangin' the local media with tales of ROmo's encounters and GAYness, romantic getaways with Clay Aiken, etc.
AND, I do not believe JJ puts much stock in character issues ot the lack thereof.
Obviously, Joe and by extension, the Dan do!
I believe JZ does as well.

I acknowledge the fact that ST did turn it around.

But what gets me is after 3 years of Pro-Bowl performance, and a verified locker room leader and supportive team mate, many Redskins fans cannot acknowledge that Owens "has made a complete turn around in the lifestyle towards the positive" to use your words.

Same goes for Tank Johnson, you cannot deny that he "has made a complete turn around in the lifestyle towards the positive" to use your words.

And even though it may be early, you could start to lump Pacman in that group as well the ones that "has made a complete turn around in the lifestyle towards the positive" to use your words.

So how long is it going to take for you to acknowledge that it does not matter what uniform a man wears on the NFL, they can all "make a complete turn around in the lifestyle towards the positive"?

I myself was not talking about TO because he has a mouth issue not a legal issue. Those school supplies your talking about Pacman only distriputed them he did not purchase them. Just becuase Pacman has not had any current legal issues he has enough in his past for us to judge him . Tank I really do not know the extent of his legal issues but he is just one in a pattern of hiring players with legal issues.

TO, Pacman and Tank had no choice but to turn their lifestyles around. This was their last chance and they were smart enough to realize it. Deion probably gets paid by JJ to babysit Pacman as they have become very close.

What legal issues? None have any legal issues. That is a part of thier lives they have put behind them.

Maybe that is part of the problem, people spending so much of thier time looking at the past, they loose focus of the future.

Are you telling me that in Redskins Land, people are not provided a second chance? If that were true, Sean Taylor would have been released as soon as he agreed to that plea deal.

The NFL says these guys are allowed to play, so they are. If not in Dallas they would have landed somewhere else. Maybe even in Washington.

There is a big difference here. ST did something stupid in his youth. He turned it around because of his kid and family. TO did the same thing in Philly that he did in SF. To say he has turned it around will only really apply when the boys do bad and he is still a model citizen. I would be willing to bet if an injury or something happens and the boys started losing, the old TO would show back up. I could be wrong, but I still think he believes it is all about him come the end of the day.

I will certainly concede that, to date the Cowboys are making the castoff thing work. I also cannot deny that they are a powerhouse team if not the team this season.
Time will tell for Tank, and Pacman, they're just thugs.
HOWEVER, TO is a special case. He has a Large talent+Gigantic Ego=Perennial Asshole!
With him, meltdown is only a few quarters of imagined disrespect away (on his part) and it's "3 faces of TO"
He'll be callin' out Romo for playin' a little slap and tickle in the showers, etc
He has a repeated history of this stuff

IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP:
It's all about TO. When it's not, meltdown will ensue
