Re: Redskins/Eagles MVP?

The running game as a whole has been outstanding the last two weeks. Beyond Portis and the O-line I think it's really a testament to the following: Zorn sticking with a game plan, Bugel's influence and inspiration, opponents respecting Campbell and the passing game. But I'll throw one more thing out there, and I'm curious what everyone else thinks of it, replacing Byner with Stump Mitchell as running back coach. I love EB as a player, and I'm happy he's enjoying success in Tennessee right now, but I've got no complaints with Stump.

But really, I think the biggest thing is that teams are starting to respect Campbell more and that allows Portis to shine under less pressure.

Re: Redskins/Eagles MVP?

I am handing four gameballs:

1. Portis (As Zorn said in the 4th and 1 he will himself into a 1st down)
2. Suisham (The 50-yarder was huge, so were the other two that he made)
3. Cooley (109 yds, 1 TD)
4. Defense (No Jason Taylor, Marcus Washington, and Shawn Springs? No problem!)

Voted Portis...but I am wondering when Zorn will be an option???? All 4 wins he has yet to be an actual option on the poll (other than "other"). He is the reason we are winning. I give him the credit. He's done an outstanding job!

Re: Redskins/Eagles MVP?

I gotta give 2 one for the o line and one for Portis. Portis ran great but he cant do it without the line.

The Oline and Portis for sure.

I'd missed the game... Did Moss play?

Moss did play, but did not factor into the offensive game plan much. I think the Eagles had planned to shut him down, which led to both Portis and Cooley having big days.

Gave it to Portis, but could have gone to him or the O-Line for knocking the Eagles D around.

Re: Redskins/Eagles MVP?

I voted for the offensive line. They dominated the game and allowed Portis to be the star. I'm not overlooking Portis effort, it was phenomenal, I just think that the entire offense clicked because of the effort up front.

It has to be Portis. 140 yards rushing, countlees first downs, including the one to seal it at the end that he, (Portis), called not Zorn or Campbell.

Re: Redskins/Eagles MVP?

The Eagles really sold out to stopping Moss. No biggie, we've got plenty of other weapons.

Re: Redskins/Eagles MVP?

gotta give it to fletcher, portis, campbell, the oline, and santanna for all the great blocks he was throwing downfield.except for not touching the guy when he was down,i thought horton played well.he's a rising star in this league.

Re: Redskins/Eagles MVP?

Gotta go with Portis followed by Cooley for compensating for Moss being double-teamed all day.

But Portis and it is not even close. He was a monster.

Re: Redskins/Eagles MVP?

The KO out of bounds yesterday was awful. You just can't have stuff like that.

Re: Redskins/Eagles MVP?

There's no way Portis deserves credit over the OLine. Sure, he played a great game, but the OLine played a greater game.
