Re: Skins vs. Browns

Skins are coming off a game they played sub par on offense (Turnover city),teams and the kicking game! And still gave the game away!

They have a bad taste in there mouth about the way they played and the outcome, a LOSS.

It will be the SKINS this Sunday we had been used to seeing the 4 weeks prior to the rams game.

We will WIN this game in a convincing manner!

SKINS=31
browns=13

Well, big surprise, Shawn Springs is still hurt. Wouldn't be surprised if he sits out yet again. I think this is his last year in D.C. unless the team wants to permanently move him to safety.

I was just watching the Caps halftime report. He re injured the calf today at the end of practice. We are thin at the corner position this week for sure. And yes this is becoming each year at the very least, no surprise at all the status of SS health or lack there of.

SS is a great corner when healthy. Bottom line he can't stay healthy. IMO this will be his final season with the team and I'll go one step further and say football.

And with his salary and LL and Horton, what Safety position are you speaking of (he certainly isn't making backup money for either position)? If you can't stay healthy it doesn't really matter if your a Corner/ SS OR FS. You are useless to the team if your on the sidelines.

News & Notes: Redskins' Secondary Slowed By Injuries

According to SportsNite on CSN, Shawn Springs status for Sunday's game is "very much in doubt." SH*T! We need him on Braylon Edwards. Given the state of our secondary, I really hope that Kellen "Grapefruits" Winslow will be out one more game. Either that or we better get some damn pass rush...

I'm starting to get more worried about this game as Sunday approaches. I don't care nearly as much about losing Smoot as I do losing Springs. The Browns have a lot of play makers on that team and their offensive line is going to give Anderson all day to throw. We really need to sustain some long drives that end in touchdowns and keep their offense off the field.

I dunno what it is with Springs and Smoot, those guys are like Humpty Dumpty over there. Everytime we hear from them, they're freakin falling apart.

If Clinton has a hip flexor he might not be in top from for the Browns and our secondary is going to be decimated this weekend. I think either way it is going to be a nailbiter. Oline has to come through, as well as our WR corp if our running game is hampered by Clinton's hip. Rock better be the guy on Sunday til Shaun gets up to speed. God help us if Anderson burns us with Edwards and Stallworth.

Amen to that. When healthy Shawn rocks, but that is not the norm for him in a Skins uniform. We need to draft some CB's and/or acquire some young corners via FA. I can see us getting torched this weekend possibly if we give Anderson all day to trow and we are paper thin at DB.

Re: Skins vs. Browns

Based on the secondary's injuries, I believe this Sunday more than any other so far, it will be oh so crucial to get QB pressure from our front four. We gotta have it this week, especially at home.

We are going to get smacked in the mouth at home again.

Browns 27
Skins 17

In the end we end up beating ourselves

Re: Skins vs. Browns

Anybody else worried that Shaun Rogers may literally EAT Casey Rabach before the game is over?

We should be able to run on these guys. The Browns rank 25 in the league on run defense giving up 137 yards per game. This should set up the pass nicely. I think we're going to need to put up some points to get this one. Our D is banged up and w/ Horton and Springs a game time decision I'm VERY worried if we have to put Kareem Moore and the new guy off the street Green out there. That scares me.

Yup, it's by far my biggest concern heading into this game. Hopefully they'll both be able to go.

Run to the outside with the zone stuff and get his fat ass moving early and often and he'll be sucking wind in no time. Then we can start slamming it up the gut.
