Do you guys get that even if we get killed by the Giants and Ravens-
IF we win 3 of our next 5 we've won 10 games, more than just about anyone realistically expected and will likely mean a playoff birth?
IF we win 2 of our next 5 games Jim Zorn will have won more games as a Redskins rookie head coach than anyone other than George Allen in 1971?
IF we win 1 of our next 5 games we would have reached .500 for back to back seasons for the first time since '00-'01 and just the second time since '92

Maybe playoffs isn't the P word we should focus on. Let's get some perspective!
Amen!
Only one team will win the SB this year leaving 31 other teams disapointed.

I'll defend Betts' propensity to suck in the clutch once a year as a crazy fluke, but with the way our offense had been dominating the second half, there's really no reason a team like the Seahawks should have needed to committ two turnovers in order to lose the game. But our special teams is awful, and our defense can't stop the run.

Those things must change. Well, the special teams at least have sucked all year, but the defense can't play poor gap discipline like they have been the last two weeks. They're not talented enough to play undisciplined like they have been. This team has two strengths: rush offense, and pass defense. That combination really allows for a lot of close scores with bad teams, because both teams find success on the ground, and no one puts it in the air. Very little margin for error, this allows.

If we had lost the game, PT, I don't think the arguments would be any different. Mine, at least, wouldn't be.
In the grand scheme of things it's the only thing that matters.

Our offense has to step up, but it is better than when we played the Giants the first time, so I think we will be good there too going down the stretch.
The only thing I absolutely agree with is that the Rams game really is going to be our Achilles heel this year, and I don't know if we can overcome it with all the other teams that are playing above par.

I REALLY wanted Carolina to win yesterday.

Re: Playoff Push

With the defense being #3 overall and #1 in the NFC. I feel good about their chances of getting in the playoffs and making some noise. However, the offense must pick up there end.

Of the 3 games win which we allowed more than 20pts we won 2 of those. Our D has done its job, we just need the O to score TDs when inside the redzone and make FGs that are normally made.

A good team is going to be kept out of the playoffs. We're competing with Carolina, Tampa, Atlanta, and Dallas for the last two playoff spots. Right now, I'd say we have a 50-50 shot of making the playoffs.

I wouldn't count out the Saints yet either. They seem to be getting hot at the right time. Brees was amazing last night.

Good point. All in all, I'm pretty damn happy with the season. I'd like to see our offense improve, but we're a very respectable team and I only see things getting better as Zorn, Campbell and our young receivers continue to develop. But, we've got a tough road to hoe if we want to make the postseason.

A lot of those other teams i.e. NO, ATL, TAM and CAR will be knocking each other off. Also, I would not be surprised if SEA beats DAL this Thanksgiving.

Re: Playoff Push

I think NO plays ATL, Tam, and Car. If they win all three of those, that can only help us.
We need to win our games, and we will get in, really it is that simple though.

I saw it. Kobb threw a pick and the camera went to McNabb...standing with his jacket on, applauding.

What a jerk.

That highlight was talked about last night on ESPN (or maybe CBS) and McNabb was cheering on Kolb (i.e., the "we'll be alright, we'll get them next time refrain), not clapping like an a-hole.

While I agree McNabb wasn't cheering for the Kolb INT, he was standing there offering no encouragement most of the time, and was even caught on camera yawning a few times, sulking around with his head down.

Yawning? Really? I'm sorry Donovan, is the demise of you, your team, and your coach boring you? I'm tired of him.

Yes, Donovan has never shown himself to be an a-hole before.

You a closet Eagles fan?
