Re: Jason Taylor says he's not worth $8 million
Split it with me and I'll go with you backrow. Maybe between the 2 of us we can get a couple of sacks.

Re: Jason Taylor says he's not worth $8 million
I like his honesty. Good for him.
Now I'd like Vinny Cerrato to man-up and say he made a mistake. Three draft receivers have been BUST so far. Vinny bet on a 35 year old DE - Philip Daniels [injured one the first game of Pre-season]; then in desperation they bet on another old DE. Vinny needs to start drafting for the trenches and stop going for the flash (receivers). Until we start drafting for the OL and DL we will be an average team or worse. |

Makes you wonder if he doesn't want us to bring him back the way he puts it

Let's not bring him back, let Evans take over that position and draft some depth. How about building from the ground up instead of always building top down? |

Re: Jason Taylor says he's not worth $8 million
well heres the truth, greg blache doesnt use him right. if you bring jason taylor here and want him to be phil daniels then you are a retard. this guy is a 3-4 rush linebacker who puts his hand in the dirt on the edge. call it what you want but the truth is in a 3-4 scheme he is still worth the money miami contracted him for....he had 11.5 sacks last year, in a 3-4 scheme. comes to washington and now his number 1 priority is to stop the run? not his strength at all but he is ok at it. but you want 8 million out of taylor, get rid of blache who wanted to retire last year anyways. bring someone in here that isnt stubborn and will uses his talents and free him up to rush the passer.....thats when he will be worth 8 million, but we all know that wont happen and as long as blache is the def coordinator jason taylor and the rest of our dline will be a non factor.

Re: Jason Taylor says he's not worth $8 million
I think people forget that Taylor was a damn good player on a team that went 1-15 last season. Once again, unless you were a f'ing psychic, no one could have predicted JT's injury. Honestly, the only people that were against this deal are the people that always roll their eyes at any Redskins free agent acquisition. Yes, the team's track record is not that great on free agent acquisition, but once again, no one could have predicted his injury. I hope he sticks around for one more year (restructured contract) to prove himself. I don't think JT would like to bow out with a performance like the one he's had this year.

Make that a sack and a sack/force fumble. We should give this guy another year.

glad he was there to make a play today, otherwise, we'd have lost 6-3
