I'm a defensive guy, and the Steelers' D is outstanding, plus I think Tomlin is a pretty good coach. That's why I'm going with the Steelers

Arizona. I like an underdog story.
Holy crap the Cards are in the Superbowl and the President is black. The end is nigh.

Easy - the Cardinals. NFC rep, never been, much less won; the Steelers have 5, that's more than enough.

Re: Who are you rooting for in Super Bowl XLIII?
Quote:
Bro, first of all It was a joke. Let me give you the Websters Dictionary for a joke: "1. something said or done to provoke laughter or cause amusement, as a witticism, a short and amusing anecdote, or a prankish act: He tells very funny jokes. She played a joke on him. 2. something that is amusing or ridiculous, esp. because of being ludicrously inadequate or a sham; a thing, situation, or person laughed at rather than taken seriously; farce: Their pretense of generosity is a joke. An officer with no ability to command is a joke. 3. a matter that need not be taken very seriously; trifling matter: The loss was no joke. 4. something that does not present the expected challenge; something very easy: The test was a joke for the whole class. 5. practical joke. –verb (used without object) 6. to speak or act in a playful or merry way: He was always joking with us. 7. to say something in fun or teasing rather than in earnest; be facetious: He didn't really mean it, he was only joking." Now seeing as how your an oversensitive wanker who can't take a joke let me break down the punchline. The Cardinals making the Superbowl and seeing a black President are both things people thought they would never see in their lifetime. There in lies the humour. Another reason your an idiot? I'm black! If I can get a giggle out of it then so can you.

Go Cards, I like their coaching staff better (nothing against Tomlin, but gotta love Grimm) and well, they've never been there. Steelers fans can get annoying... as dedicated and hardcore of fans as they can be, they've got one of the bigger bandwagon segments in the game as well. Nothing really against the team, but let's stick with the NFC and the team that our division used to perennially pummel.

Re: Who are you rooting for in Super Bowl XLIII?
I've always liked the Steelers. They've been the only team that I can think of that has maintained an identity for decades. Strong physical D, and great run game. I openly envy them as a skins fan.
Also, I'm really not getting the lack of respect I've been hearing about them around the "water cooler". I know the steelers are favored, but all I keep hearing about is how great the cards are playing... no one mentions that the steelers completely manhandled baltimore and played far more physically than they did. anyway, i like their brand of football. always have. i hope and think they'll win.

Cards!!! It helps me sleep better knowing that the Skins handled the Cards in the regular season... The NFC is up for grabs next year!

Re: Who are you rooting for in Super Bowl XLIII?
Arizona is a GREAT story this year and people are going to say I'm a jackass for saying this, but I really don't think that the Steelers deserve it, the same way I didn't think the Ravens deserved it when they won it.
I love great defense, but I really think you have to at LEAST be effective on both sides of the ball and I hate the idea of having a great offense or defense and letting the other suffer just because you're elite on one side of the ball. You could bring up a lot of points that you could legitimately argue against that, but I just don't feel like the Steelers deserve it.

Re: Who are you rooting for in Super Bowl XLIII?
Are the Steelers any less effective on offense than the Cardinals are on defense? Well...are they, jackass?
