I really think the only thing we should do at DE right now is extend Evans. He is not a star, but he is a capeable starter. We wont find anyone in free agency this year who is better than Evans (for the price) so we should just be happy with what we have (for now) and focus on more pressing needs.

Re: Your Thoughts on the D-line...
Vinny Cerrato was just on redskins radio. After being very ambiguous in answering pretty much everything, he casually mentioned that Phillip Daniels would be a free agent on February 27th.... even though his contract goes through 2010 according to this site. i'm thinking he didnt realize what he was saying and let something slip. Good news IMO. We would be foolish to bring back a 36-year old DE whos had injury problems in recent years.
This could also be a sign we plan to keep Evans and/or Taylor.

Re: Your Thoughts on the D-line...
Daniels has to go... Taylor needs to take a pay cut or be cut... Anthony Montgomery and gholston need to stay, orakpo has had a few knee problems, but the guy is a freak if we don't draft him, I don't think we should get maybin, cause he's very thin, and if you think that orakpo is not good against the run wait till you see maybin Tyson Jackson of LSU is good and reminds me of phillip daniles a little bit, but he isn't that fast at getting to the QB... But I'm very high on brandon Williams of Texas tech who did led the big 12 in sacks (not orakpo) with 13... The DE to watch for is Lawrence Sidbury of Richmond

Re: Your Thoughts on the D-line...
2nd round for sidbury, i highly doubt that, and if we need a 2nd rounder we can trade down and still have a first, and even a second

Nowhere have I seen Sidbury projected to go in the first round.

Re: Your Thoughts on the D-line...
Yeah me neither... I didn't mean he would btw. I think 2nd or maybe 3rd is more likely but my point was the farther he falls the bigger steal he is. His performance in the championship game was off the hook.

Re: Your Thoughts on the D-line...
I'll tell you what man, if we could trade down in the first, pick up another pick, draft Mack, then get someone at the RT position and pick up Sidbury in the 3rd or 5th....... we could actually turn this into a pretty good draft.

Re: Your Thoughts on the D-line...
I agree, we should trade down if we can to get more picks..

Re: Your Thoughts on the D-line...
Down like a clown charlie brown We can't forget about SLB though. Aside from RT it's the other position we have to address IMO. FA or draft I don't really care but it would be nice to have a playmaker there.

Re: Your Thoughts on the D-line...
I agree, and if we could sign a FA like Carey at RT it would make the draft a whole lot clearer. The Dolphins aren't going to use the F Tag but we would have some competition. I think the Vikes and Bears are interested in him.

Re: Your Thoughts on the D-line...
I think Carey would be a good pick up for us. It would allow us to pick up either a DE or LB at #13 or trade down.
