53: it's ok to admit that you'd been knocking down a few. I do some of my best material after half a dozen tall Rum and Cokes. Cliff from "Cheer's" explaines it pretty well

Cliff Clavin (John Ratzenberger) explains the "buffalo theory" to his drinking buddy Norm (George Wendt):

"Well ya see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But, naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

That's why we come up with the best answers to Redskins' issues after a couple or 3 or 4.

I like that theory nyredskinfan, but I stopped drinking about 10 years ago. Residual effects maybe?

Terrell Owens, aka TO, if you haven't heard of him yet, you will. He is definitely a name on the rise. He is going to North America's Team(Buffalo) this year and I heard that ESPN is considering moving their offices to upstate New York, (that is in North America if anyone was confused), and documenting their Road TO the SB this year!

It will be great for Buffalo's economy. He will be the cities single largest industry. On the other hand, I bet that Rachel Nichols is not too thrilled. "I have to spend the next year where?" She's going to be like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

Exactly. I'm pumped about this move from the area. The Bills biggest name in the last 15 years has been Drew Bledsoe. TO has generated so much interest already... I am not a TO fan at all, but I really hope he does well in Buffalo and the Bills play better as a result. They've been so bad now, I'm really concerned about them leaving for Toronto.... Not that I really care in the long run, but I'd hate to see a local team leave the area.

That's just it...we CAN'T stop talking about him. I dislike him as much as you and hate hearing about him. Yet, I found myself opening, reading and then posting on this thread! He's the big persona in the NFL. That's why he even got this contract. Like I said previously in this thread (or maybe another, I can't remeber) he's always the story and that's good for the NFL (much like Dennis Rodman was to the NBA).

I'm just glad he's in Buffalo, he'll have to wear a sweatshirt when he works out in the driveway from now on.

HAIL!!

Re: T.O. Signs With Buffalo Bills

"If I had my way, I’d shuffle off to buffalo;
Sit by the lake, and watch the world go by.
Ladies in the sun, listenin’ to the radio,
Like flowers on the sand, a rainbow in my mind."

That's not TO, that's John Fogerty. Don't know why I posted it other than it's what I think of whenever someones says "shuffle off to Buffalo," and it makes Buffalo sound like a tropical resort!

I always liked the Bills & especially like D. Jauron's current team, they play hard w/less talent than most of the nfl. TO is a good move for them on the biz side & for 1 year could be on the football side too, but I wouldn't be surprised if he & Jauron butt heads early. Of course, that's all part of the biz side, TO brings attention.

Yes I do! He destroyed the Eagles organization and pissed off McNabb, but he didn't do the same thing in Dallas! He tried to, but he failed! So, YES! I do have a problem with that! If had just destroyed Dallas the way he destroyed Philly, I would like that guy. I would even buy his jersey!

"Destroyed" Philly? Yeah, winning the NFC Championship in his first season with the team was utter destruction. If you remember, Andy Reid had very little tolerance for TO's bullsh*t. Once he started acting up he was pretty much shown the door. And without TO, Philly has remained a playoff caliber team year in and year out. So "destroy" probably isn't the word I'd use.

Re: T.O. Signs With Buffalo Bills

TO seems to do real well in the first year of a K. i really think he is a good fit for a team like the bills who need a lil excitement or TO factor to energize their fan base. even if he doesnt put up over 1200 yds or get them to the playoffs, it still creates alil hope in their fan base entering the season which is a good thing for the bills.

plus the bills really havent had any drama for awhile so i think the fan base will accept him more than say the bengals or browns.

go skins!!
