Re: Half Assed Rebuilding Mode

3rd round prospects are just as enticing

eric wood might still be available
antoine caldwell
jonathan luigs

there arent nearly as many, but they are still talented and could upgrade just about any offensive line in the league

You had it right with your first center.

alex mack is my favorite player in the entire draft. if the draft went my way he would be #1 overall

he is, IMO, the best player in the entire draft and the safest, surest pick

very smart, very quick, strong, and has great hands

hes tall but he blocks low and his first and second steps are faster than any other center in the draft

eric wood is probably a little stronger, and max unger is probably a little quicker, but there isnt a better talent overall in the draft

any of the top centers in the draft would be great for the redskins at either center or guard

mack
unger
wood
robinson
caldwell
luigs
newton

they could all help and most of them will be available when the redskins pick

You sir are someone that gets it!! Mack is the smartest, baddest OL player in the draft. I guarantee that wherever he lands that he will make that OL much better overnight.

number 1 overall, why? You know he won't go that way so no need to draft him there

I'm sure that you've watched him more than me but I read that he gets up too tall as a con.. the faster off of the snap I have heard though

I've watched him play for years here in Northern Cal. and all the stuff you hear from the experts is BS. I would goas far as saying that he could be the next Jim Otto. Read this:

Alex Mack, California, NFL Draft - CBSSports.com Football

in a few years when we look back at the draft and realize who were the best players to come out of the draft, we wont be looking at matthew stafford or brian orakpo or tyson jackson

im looking at the draft as if it were years ago. I think alex mack will have a better pro career than any other pick in the draft. I think he will be here in canton with me some day. the last center that i thought was as close in talent to mack was nick mangold out of ohio state. he also went in the first round and now is a huge reason why thomas jones made the pro bowl last year

he is 6'4" but gets almost too low when he snaps the ball, he is a natural knee bender and he is very comfortable in his stance, if you've ever tried to put 1 hand down like a lineman and keep your head up, you'll realize how hard it is to do that for 5, 10, 15 seconds before the snap

then he takes his first step without moving his upper body, his second step is either a turn or a pull step and his 3rd step is when he starts his upward motion with his body, but by then he will either have made contact with his opponent or he will be in the open field, head hunting

Wow, you're not even her a month and you came in on the Mack Wagon. Welcome aboard. Did you come to this conclusion by listening to others like myself or did you watch the Youtube of him tearing s**t up? We had it on here for a little while. If we couldn't draft down I'd take Mack over trading up to get Sanchez. I don't care if he's a center.

Re: Half Assed Rebuilding Mode

I think the fans would be tolerant if we were really in a rebuilding mode w/ a plan. The problem is like the post sais we are in between. We don't have direction and lack FO discipline. We are a bipolar organization. It's who we are. We've become a laughingstock organization. A perenial average team.

Watch out for the Saints this year canton legend, if Grilliams straightens out the defense like I think he will, the Saints will be scary good this year.

Funny u say it Jim cuz I been following NO since Williams went there. Don't know if they'll bounce this year w/ his defensive system being so complicated...but yes I agree the Saints will be an extremely dangerous team within a year or two. Always a fun team to watch too!!!

im hoping with the additions we've made(jabari greer, darren sharper, rod coleman) we'll be able to make a run at the playoffs

believe me guys, if there was ever a team that can simpathize with what you guys are going through right now, its saints fans

only recently with jim haslett and sean payton have we been able to hold our heads up

i think the redskins are well on their way so far. they have a very good core group of players to build around;
portis, sellers, hall, cooley, fletcher, haynesworth, landry, moss, my boy shaun suisham from BGSU and a couple of old saints in alfred fincher and renaldo wynn

im impressed i could name that many redskins without looking it up lol

then of course campbell, rocky, and colt(im a big fan of his)

there are lots of things to look forward to this year for you guys. if portis can continue to stay healthy, i can see a push at the playoffs. especially if they can pick up a few starting O-linemen in this draft

We made a push at the playoffs last year, albeit unsuccessfully. We want more than that.
