I think you're on to something! I think he might in fact be the second coming.

Think about it: Jesus was a carpenter; Marcus is a Mason. He wears #23 which is twice as many apostles minus that backstabber Judas. Both of their first names end in "us". Marcus keeps resurrecting his way to our preseason roster. They both walk on water. They can both lead the league in preseason rushing yards. And they're both God's gift to us.

He's Baaaaaaaack!! The center of much debate at the backup position last year. I am happy to see him back. Welcome back Mr Mason.

Lol. I needed that. Are people really excited by this? There is a reason he never made it off of anyone's practice squad...

well we were considering carrying a 4th RB until we had to go with some DE moves

Yes and no. We needed the DE's cause all of them were dinged up but Taylor. Why we didn't let James go cause he never supplied the team with anything I'll never know.

Yes he was the 4th RB on the squad and was put on practice squad. They cut him though to sign another CB due to injuries at that position. So yes if your the 4th person on any position you most likely will get cut.

But please stop with all the sarcasm. He was a decent RB. People are trying to compare him to RB's that have like over 5-7 yrs as a NFL RB. Not gunna happen. Most of us who liked him liked what he brought plus he was younger. All we wanted was a RB who was younger that the team could groom to replace Portis down the road and everyone has to get sarcastic like we wanted Portis replaced last yr.

It kills me how some of you claim all his yardage came with 2nd stringers. Yes they did. but keep in mind we had second stringers blocking making those holes. Also you guys apparently have no faith in our 1st stringers cause all I keep hearing is yes his yardage was against 2nd and 3rd stringers. In other words if he was playing with the 1st stringers the OL would not be able to make the holes for him. He would not have gotten the good runs. Unfortunatly I have more faith not only in Mason but also in our OL. I believe he would have had similar runs with the starting OL. Only cause they are better at creating the holes. Besides if they could make holes for Betts they could for Mason. The only concern someone mentioned that I was unaware of was his blocking on passing downs. I thought he did ok but apparently not good enough for others.

I don't see this as an issue if you all would just simply agree to let JC go, let Colt be the QB handing off to Mason during the season. There would be no fued. lol.

Dude, I understand. But many NFL teams keep only 3 backs and the Redskins made it clear that they would only have kept 4 as an exception. That exception was not made for football reasons, as you indicate. However, a previous post implied that Mason had some kind of right to a 4th spot and that he was dealt with dishonestly, or in other words, it was not a football decision.

Put differently: If Mason beat out Portis, Betts, or Rock, there would have been no discussion on this issue. James is completely irrelevant to this.

Put yet differently: If the Redskins had it out for Mason and he was dealt with dishonestly, why would they bring him back, and why would he so quickly agree to come back?

Well it's obvious the Skins should simply dump their talent scouts and hire some of you guys cause simply put they just picked up a piece of crap that should not be holding a roster spot. Especially after he was let go last yr cause he sucked. and he sucked cause he could not beat out the previous 3 RB's who have been in the league for several yrs. I guess Balt. talent scouts suck also cause they picked him up after we let him go, then low and behold the Jets have talent scouts that suck also. Probubly even worse cause they put him on their active roster even though they did not use him.

Well, I'm glad our talent scouts suck.
