Re: Madden 10 reviews

Anyone wanna get an online franchise going for the 360? If we can get 5-6 people that are really serious about playing, I'll start one up.

You try hitting left trigger and then selecting the option to make your oline more "aggressive?"

Matty,

I'd be down for it...I'm Damager78 on Xbox live.

One think that I like on Madden '10 is the custom difficulty level. I usually play All-Pro but it's taking me a bit to learn this game (is def different than '09). However, playing Pro is wayyyy too easy. So right now I have it somewhere between Pro and All-Pro (the defense is All-Pro though, I've lowered the settings for the offense). So far is working out nicely, I've had some nail-biters against the Eagles, Cowboys, and Giants. The Redskins defense is disgustingly good, Haynesworth is a force in the middle, and having Orakpo line up at DE in Dime and Quarter formations is great (next to AH). Drew Brees is f'ing unstoppable, he torched me for like 400 yds. Once I play a dream season (I usually simulate non-NFC games), I'll up the difficulty level.

Re: Madden 10 reviews

i got madden 10 for the Wii and theres a reason im the 1 or 3 people who bought it. EA and all sim sports games suck on Wii. MLB09 major glitches to the point you cant play it.

with madden 10 on wii there is no freakin franchise mode. they instead have a "road to the superbowl" mode where you can play 1 season with no trades or anything like that. the game play is pretty sweet with the point n click pass option but the foundation of madden is in the franchise mode. ive read a review were EA just used their NFLtour game and called it madden 10.

to get franchise mode you have to install/put in codes which EA did so all the idiots like me who have Wii have to register with EA. the codes werent included in the game packet b/c EA said there was a printing error. right, an error which just so happens to benefit your company by requiring people to register their information with your company's website.

also the franchise mode after you install it (what ive heard havent played it yet) is the EXACT same as last year, exact graphics, interplay, everything. so after having to get the codes from EA you get the exact same game as last year except the rosters are updated. the sim sport game manufs hate Wii, i think it has to do with the wholly different coding from PS and xbox and its just too much money, effort and not enough potential return on investment to do it right so they short cut and repackage old coding like they did here.

the code to unlock everything (franchise, superstar, etc) is: THEWORKS

go skins!!

IMO, Wii is for parties and little kids... Time to get a Xbox or PS3.

Re: Madden 10 reviews

Maybe it's just me, but I miss the good ol' days of being able to beat a team 1232190-0. The more realistic the game gets as far as the "human element" (not graphics) are concerned, the less appealing the game is to me.

I feel like the learning curve is step and to be frank, I don't like to lose. I don't even like the computer to score a point on me.

Agreed. To me Wii was fun for about a day then I got tired of it. I think it's really gone a long way in making Nintendo relevant again but I feel like in about 10 years or so we're going to be looking back and saying "OMG remember the Wii, yeah WTF were we thinking?".

Matty,
I'm down for a league. SGTHAGA0002 on Xbox. I haven't done one of these before, how's it work if more than one person picks/wants the same team?

Re: Madden 10 reviews

I don't know what changed, but all of a sudden I'm breaking long runs with Portis. (The pitch to the weak side has been pretty damn close to a "money play.") In other news that doesn't bode well for the game's authenticity, I ran back a punt 92 yds for a TD with Randle El. All of this is on "All Pro."

Re: Madden 10 reviews

I am at a friend's house, and he has Madden 10, we were flipping thru the Hall of Fame, and Darrell Green and Art Monk were not listed. They had the other inductees from last year but neither Redskin. Did anyone else notice this, or we looking in the wrong place?
