If he has fallen off so much (and I just don't see that in relation to CP, who has looked slower this year) why did the coaching staff praise him this summer & give him the 3rd down job? |

Hasn't Chris Henry had serious injury problems? I could've swore he was oft-injured while in Tennessee.

It's heart breaking to think that Rogers could be a pro bowl corner if he could catch, Unfortunately he couldn't catch herpes from a Tijuana hooker.

Re: Smoot lays the Smackdown (Redskins vs. Bucs)
really, "far more"? I thought back & you're right, he's missed a lot of games dating back to the spurrier years up to last year. My point though was that he's had a lot less wear & tear on his body, and he seems the same to me. Maybe he's lost a step but he hasn't put on a lot of weight like CP over the years.

Jones worked out with the Packers today. Don't think he signed though

Betts hasn't had a good game limited carries or not in a while. If there is not hole Betts is not effective. I can say the same for Portis this year. But int eh past Portis has been able to grind out a yard even when the line wasn't at it's Betts. If he was that good we wouldn't be bringing in other backs and wouldn't have Mason on the team. Between him and Rock they are pretty much not productive. But they are two of the 5 backs listed on our RB depth chart.

Any idea why no team has signed him?

Re: Smoot lays the Smackdown (Redskins vs. Bucs)
The Skins better not give this guy big money to stay next year (I really don't think they will). He's had so many opportunities for big game changing type plays, and he just fails to make them time after time.

Re: Smoot lays the Smackdown (Redskins vs. Bucs)
Sure, I'd rather he catch more potential INTs but his coverage and tackling is typically pretty good. If we let him go, I think it's a typical move where we could sign him to a decent contract but instead let him walk and either waste another top pick on a DB or HOPE and pray that Barnes and Tryon are ready.

Re: Smoot lays the Smackdown (Redskins vs. Bucs)
See here is my thing w/ Rogers. Everyone jumps on him for dropping balls but would you rather him constantly get burned? I'd rather him hold his man down. That's what corners are suppose to do and he is probably our best cover corner.

I think they may have a problem on getting his agent to agree to much less $ than Hall is getting. I don't see how they could keep both at huge salaries. |

Just saying he's not worth a big $$ investment.
