How about CJ Spiller for Heisman? That guy is a monster. Ingram is great, but Spiller is out of this world.

Spiller was so close to going to Florida, too. He's from right outside Gainesville, FL, and after Tebow committed to Florida he was trying really hard to get Spiller to join him. Everyone thought it was between Florida and Florida St for him, and out of nowhere he chose Clemson.

I can only dream of how crazy it would have been to have Tim Tebow, Percy Harvin, and CJ Spiller on the field at the same time. Holy crap that would have been fun.

Spiller has been amazing right out of the gate < freshman > . The NCAA needs a playoff system , could be 4-5 or 6 teams and I would be happy . Had Spiller gone to UF < he should have > , you guys would have been very scary , hope Spiller does not end up in NY/Philly/NO or Minnesota . Have a great weekend guys ... go skins !

If Nebraska had an offense, they'd have beat the crap out of Texas. I don't see why everyone is saying Spiller is a better RB than Gerhart? They're two different kinds of backs. If it's Bama and Texas, I'm going with The Tide and their fat boy Cody. I like that guy. He looks like an overweight Heyer with skill. Tim Tebow lost a lot of respect IMO by being a little cry baby. I still like him though, just a little less.

I was kind of surprised to see Tebow respond emotionally like that. But oh well, I guess. He'll go high in the draft, still. I think he blew his chances at a Heisman with his performance though.

Somewhat off track here, but I'm increasingly frustrated with the media chasing and creating storylines and not acknowledging what they should. For instance, it seemed to me that Tim Tebow and Florida got more attention for what they didn't do instead of Bama stomping the crap out of them. I've also noticed that following Notre Dame games, whether it be NBC or ESPN, the story was always about Charlie Weis and his seniors. Win, lose, or draw the immediate interviews were always with Weis.

I felt bad for Connecticut after they beat Notre Dame, same with Stanford and Navy, how it was all about whether Weis was staying or going.

Nothing new there. Is the average joe sports fan more likely to change the channel if the network is talking about Stanford winning a ball game or the head coach of Notre Dame losing his job? They always sensationalize the stories about the big names. Do people want to see what a teary-eyed Tebow has to say about a big loss or listen to Greg McElroy?

Right or wrong, they are more focused on what keeps the viewers, and many times that's not the meat of the story.

Do you know what is really starting to bother me? Teams like Boise State, TCU, Cincinnati being ranked in the top ten without playing a single non conference top 25 team are. Now I am not saying that they are not worthy of a top 25 ranking, but they should have to play and beat a non conference top 10 team before they can be placed in the top 10.

This year we will be subject to at least one shitty BCS bowl game because nobody is scheduling these clowns. Florida is going to kill Cincinnati and there is no 2 ways about it. Boise State against TCU might be a halfway decent game because both of them are second rate (3rd in my opinion, but I am giving the people who vote some credit) top 25 teams. It’s a shame that we can’t put all three against each other in some sort of Round-Robin, over ranked team, Bowl extravaganza.

I cannot believe that some writers actually feel bad for these teams an write about how they aren’t getting their fair shot at the “National Title”. It’s because they are not really as good as their records look on paper; and I am glad that there are some people or at least a computer that see it the same way that I do. I realize that there are some people in Texas, Idaho, and Ohio that believe that I am an asshole and I am wrong. Well, they are half right because I am an asshole but I am not wrong. The way that I see it is that there are 2 ways to fix this problem. Either more respectable teams schedule these guys (isn’t going to happen) or college football goes to a playoff format. The playoff format is way overdue and would go a long way to shutting idiots like me up. As long as there are no playoffs and sports writers run the show this is what you can expect. The games are great but the bowls are rigged.

the big 12 was bad this year, and out of conference texas played UTEP, Wyoming, and UL Monroe...thats pretty terrible. Florida always play chumps out of conference to include charleston southern, troy, and FIU this year...

to defend cincy, they did play oregon state away which is much harder than texas or florida did this year. they and alabama are the only 2 top teams that tried out of conference, besides boise scheduling oregon the first game of the year...

I think that teams should be scheduling tougher opponents. There's no way a team like Penn State should get BCS consideration playing Akron, Temple, Syracuse, Illinois, and Eastern Illinois. PSU played ONE ranked team the entire season. College football is and always will be about making money.

the only problem is teams are scared to play teams like boise tcu and others because they have nothing to gain and everything to lose by playing them

as far as penn state goes the whole big 10 is probably the most overhyped conference in the ncaa
