I was thrilled.

Yes and to watch this show for six years was probably a small waste of life.

I thought the ending was great. Answered a lot of questions, and left many unanswered. Just as I expected. The only thing I didn't like was that they killed "Locke" off with over an hour left in the show. That seemed too soon for me.

Re: The Official Lost: The Final Season Thread (Warning: Possible Spoilers)

so "lost" was a type waiting room between physical death and the journey to the afterlife which can only be achieved when one "lets go"?

lame.

I was hoping they wouldnt do a cop out of all "their out of left field, crazy, makes no sense" happeninngs by ending it with the justification that it was "all fake", "it was all imagination".

they might as well just had all the people wake up on the plane, safe and happy and ended it by saying they all had a "shared interacting dream" or something lame.

im glad i didnt follow it after season 1, seems like when i missed an epidose of season 2, nothing made sense as they would constantly change the rules or premise. it was just to hard to follow if you arent a hardcore, "set my evening schedule around whats on tv" type. sad, i was hoping lost would be that show for me but it was just too much.

No, the alter-universe, flash-sideways world was purgatory.

Exactly how I feel. Thanks for putting into words. It just felt like they dragged it out for the $$$$.

And for the record at the end of season one I was like this purgatory, which shockingly it basically was.

If you want to save yourself six seasons worth of watching this crap go rent the Lovely Bones, same idea and you will be done with it in 2 hours.

Heroes try to do the same thing with no rules and a confusing plot line shockingly that show is sinking as fast as a lead zeppelin.

Yeah no. Not really even close. If you didn't watch past season one you cannot possibly have a valid opinion. I don't get all the hate coming from people who weren't actual fans. They have no idea what they're talking about.

Whatever sideways world was stolen from Superman he called it bizarro world.

You guys talking about purgatory. IT WASN'T PURGATORY. Maybe you should watch and then you could understand what actually happened. I won't guarantee you'll like it but at least then you can form opinions based on some actual knowledge.

Usually and I maybe wrong here but fans general don't hate the things they are fans of.

You aren't wrong at all. But then again why did people watch it and then get mad about it, or are on message boards discussing it, if they weren't fans in the first place? I don't care whether people liked it or not. It doesn't change my opinion but it sorta irks me that people who didn't watch the show much and didn't much care about it watched the finale and then pan it. Or didn't watch it and pan the mere ideas in it. It gives the false impression that it was generally disliked when in fact every single person who actually followed the show, that I have talked to our read postings from, loved it.

I have watched it, religious the whole first season and most of the second and my wife has watched it all. She came to bed last night after it was over and said basically it was purgatory.

Don't get your panties in bunch because you wasted six seasons of your life watching some poorly written piece of crap. Honestly when you have to run a sports ticker on the bottom to tell folks what the heck is going on, the writing might be a bit off. During Star Wars all through the series did George Lucas ever have to use a ticker to explain the story...no becasue it was written/told well. The ticker may have looked like this: "Luke is kissing Leia, hahaha they don't know it yet but they are brother and sister."

I am not trying to pick a fight with you but you know somewhere in season 4 in your heart of hearts you were like this show sucks but I will stick with it just to found out what happens and you are bitter at the folks like OTM and myself who said F it I won't waste my time watching all this crap just to find out it is purgatory on 5/23/2010.

If you liked it you liked it but very few people I know who were fans in the beginning are still fans today.

I am sure you are still holding with American Idol as well.

And you my friend just like the Junkies have worn out the saying "donkey". I prefer jackass. :tongue
