Re: Interesting Comments from Carlos Rogers
I agree it is way to early to write them off, especially for Barnes. However it is fair to say that they both have been disappointments up to now. We really need these two guys to have break out years next season. That would be huge.

that's probably why he gets killed on the double moves but for carlos it's probably more just not having a good eye for the ball, even when he's tight on a guy lately he doesn't have great anticipation for the ball or doesn't make a good play on it |

Re: Interesting Comments from Carlos Rogers
I wouldn't say they're disappointments. I mean Tryon was drafted in what the 5th round? I don't think there has ever been an expectation of him being anymore than a nickelback. As for Barnes, this is a critical year for him I would agree.

Re: Interesting Comments from Carlos Rogers
Calling Barnes a disappointment is a bit premature. I am not even sure this year is "critical". Sure, he should show progress, but come on - he was an f'ing rookie last year. Can we take some time to develop players before we toss them to the curb?

Re: Interesting Comments from Carlos Rogers
Yeah I didn't mean critical as in he better make a pro bowl or hit the streets. Just that I seem him playing a very important role this year

Re: Interesting Comments from Carlos Rogers
I don't really care for him as a person and there are more complete CBs in the league, but unless we can do better then we should keep him in the short term.
Given that our draft picks need to address the offensive line direly, I say stick with Rogers and try to upgrade him sometime down the line when we have the luxury to do so.

Re: Interesting Comments from Carlos Rogers
It's annoying that Carlos has never taken responsibility for any failure ever in his entire career, has always found someone to defect the blame to...nevertheless, he's not enough of a headache to warrant release, and even appears somewhat willing to buy into the new system. Who knows, this could be a breakout year for him.
