Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
Looks like Boudreau is non-commital on either goalie. Not sure how I feel about a goaltending by committee approach.

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
If they score 99 goals then we'll score 100.

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
So glad the Caps don't have a game scheduled for Thursday. Now I don't have to worry about watching the NFL draft and the Caps game at the same time.

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
Pretty high tempo first period. I can't believe how crazy loud it sounds in the Bell Centre, I mean I knew Montreal had a reputation for their passionate fans but it suprised even me. I was also suprised it's 0-0 at the first break, I saw some great goaltending by both sides.

Varly between the pipes......gutsy call. I like it. We need to have a solid team effort from ALL and we will be fine.
Lets roll! GO CAPS!

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
Man the Montreal Crowd is pretty rough and I thought we were pretty bad ass. I wonder how that effects the defense when they boo OV. It's like if your back is to the play the crowd is telling you who has the puck. Still I feel like they're playing much better. Varly is kicking ass and taking names and it's only a matter of time before we score.
However it was such a pain in the ass trying to get my schools internet to work. First all the ethernet jacks except two hidden in the floor didn't work so in the meantime I tried to log on to the schools wireless network which employs some shitty program named Clean Access agent that never lets you on even after you do all the spyware scanning they ask you to do, and to make matters worse it slows down your computer. Then while finding an open desktop in an empty room I randomly got hit with spyware during the Canadians power play. Either way I'm fine now but damn, sometimes people make technology to damn hard.

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
This is a great week to be a fan of the Caps and Redskins. I mean can there be much more daily sports than this week?
Monday - Caps playoff game Tues - NFL sched. gets released Wed - Caps playoff game Thurs - 1st round NFL draft Fri - Caps playoff game, 2nd round NFL draft Sat - Final rounds NFL draft, also Fedex draft day party for those who are going. I can't remember one week in a while where there was daily sports happening every day. Also can't forget NBA playoffs (i'm still watching even though the Wizards were nowhere close to making it). As I type this the Caps are kicking ass and taking names. 2-0 lead and Varly is making lights out saves. Awesome. |

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
Ha! 3-0. Something tells me the Canadians don't have the offensive firepower to come back from a 3 goal deficit.

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
Carey Price coming on. Hopefully it doesn't have the same effect for the Canadians as Varly did last game. In other news I might be able to finally do something else at 9:30 on the night of a Capitals playoff game rather then contribute to my first heart attack.

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
OV!!!!! What happened to the stick distance and closing the gap defense that the announcers wouldn't shut up about for the first two games?
