On the "R" helmet I'd make it Burgundy with a Gold "R". On the arrow I'd use a Gold helmet with a Burgundy arrow. Plus I'd get away from the yellow color. |

Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
I liked the uniform we had in 2002 when we had the dark maroon uniform with the spears on the shoulder and helmet...

Would be cool to see the feather helmet come back for even one game.

I like the all white Redskin uniforms. I actually like the thought of an all white Skins uni' incorporating the arrow. It would look absolutely slick.

Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
I'm really torn on the uniform issue. Sometimes I'd like to see something new, other times I'd just like to stay with what they wore in the 80's and 90's. Never have been a big fan of the retro 70's uniforms, though.
I am glad we've seen more of the burgundy jerseys/white pants in recent years. There would be some seasons (1991) where you'd see that only once at Dallas. |

I'm with you. Who gets intimidated by guys wearing all white? With a little pink trim those uniforms would be downright girlie.

Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
i think our standard helmets and burgundy jerseys would look great with solid gold pants instead of the standard white pants. i think solid burgundy socks would look really good with this setup. add solid white shoes and that just tops it off for me.
they should have also done colored jerseys when they did our “R” throwbacks (instead of only white). i hope they consider doing that in the future. not a fan of the all burgundy uniforms but i don’t mind the all white ones.

Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
I like the all burgundy...always wondered what it would look like but never thought I'd see it. It's not boring and is a novelty, unlike the bland all-white.
If we go with gold pants, it's going to have to match the gold on the helmets and jerseys or it will look like crap together. I wouldn't be opposed to changing the yellow-gold to a real gold like we used in the 70th throwbacks to accommodate the pants. This is confusing because we had the report that there were some GOLD GOLD pants on Allen's desk. We can't use them with the current color scheme and look good...so could we be shifting back to the old color scheme? I wouldn't be opposed to it.

Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
i like that minus the stripes on the pants and the white on the socks. solid burgundy socks with solid white shoes would set it off

Re: Bruce Allen on McNabb extension, Haynesworth and uniforms
I don't like plain. stripe-less pants for NFL teams...make them look collegiate or less.
A big design thing to me is consistency with striping throughout the uniform. The Skins do it right, look at the sleeve and pant striping. An example of a team that does it wrong is Dallas. None of the stripes or even colors match the other parts of the uniform, it's like they were designed by different people instead of together as a set. The Giants do the inconsistent striping too. These teams take the uniformity out of the uniforms.
