Re: Memorial day plans?

Looks like the two BBQ's I'm heading to on Monday will be a full on blast. Soft shell crabs, shrimp, steaks, chicken, pork, side items galore, kegs... Can't wait. I plan on passing out around 9pm in my American Flag t-shirt with a full on beer/food coma.

Anyone else really irked that Lord Obama is skipping the service at Arlington National Cemetery? Bothers the ish outta me.

dude f you bro.. just on the first paragraph though

saw a guy in a red white and blue skins t today at work.. asked him where he got it.. he kind of sheepishly said "walmart" and I was like don't have any shame bro, I asked cuz I want it too (I mean I didn't, but it looked cool)

obama did arlington last year, it's not like he's completely ignoring it, biden will be at arlington, obama will be at the lincoln memorial cemetery

it's really not a huge deal.. if we really looked at symbolism in the presidency (and didn't overlook the most vacation time taken in history.. even counting the early presidents who just did whatever on the whim) we'd all love G-Dub, he could show it up with the best of them when it came to pride

I was at first, but looked into it and Bush 1 always sent Quayle, Reagan made only half I think, and guess who made every one.....Clinton, go figure.

If it was me, I'd be at every one.

I didn't know that. Fair enough. But I'm with you. If I'm the president I'm at every one.

Re: Memorial day plans?

I basically sat at this spot on U street from noon until 9 at night with about ten friends. Tons of beer, Bloody Mary's, wine and whatever else I could get my hands on. Good times.

Re: Memorial day plans?

We had a great day yesterday. Went to the gym in the morning, then headed to a friend's house around 3:30. Kick ass BBQ. The highlights were softshell crab sandwiches and a vicious corn-hole tournament. Good stuff. My buddy's place is 100% solar powered. Pretty cool.

I drank a lot of beer. Paying for it a bit today, but it was worth it.

Re: Memorial day plans?

Our club had opening day at the pool yesterday and we came home from the beach to go to opening day and their cookout. Well after the dads had a few too many we had a diving contest of "Can You Do This". Thats when someone tries a flip or something and everyone else has to give it a try. Well that just lead to a bunch of belly flops and back busters. The funny thing was it started with 4 of us and before you knew it about 12 of us where trying to do flips and dives as everyone else sat around and laughing at us.

LOL. That's too funny. Sounds like a great time.

God bless all of our servicemen and women around the world who afford all of us the opportunity to enjoy things like pool parties and BBQ's. And a special thanks to their families as well. Your sacrifices are amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
