Man, am I the only one here that hates, HATES Dirtbag pieces of shit in this sport? The NFL has gotten so perverted by these POS "thugs" and "gangsters", fuckin idiots. The way they act makes me so sick. Ridiculous. I really wish character meant something nowadays, but just like the sport, the more you pay these immature dirtbag pieces of shit from da hood, the more SHIT they are gonna do to embarass themselves and the game. Its just a shame that most of the good athletes have to be from that walk of life, or from that rung on the social ladder that if they get a one hundred dollar bill, they dont know how to act. Stay True to da hood, homies!!!!!! |

Re: Man shot after confrontation with Vick at Michael Vick's 30th birthday party
A few years back there was a birthday party for Darnerien McCants. Flyers all over DC. Come celebrate Darnerien McCants birthday at whatever the name of the club was. (I don't even remember.) Join Chris Samuels and Rod Gardner in wishing Darnerien McCants a happy birthday.
DM had nothing to do with any of it. He hung out in the VIP section with several other players and other guests. Occasionally he'd walk around the club. But the guest list went through me and my buddy. We needed money for a business venture. McCants let us use his name (and the fact it was his birthday) to promote a party and we got a cut of all the money at the door. All McCants did was show up. He had nothing at all to do with any of the planning. He was just helping me out and the club. Did that a couple of times. I don't ever remember checking with him who belonged in or out of the club or even the VIP section. All that said, McCants didn't have any "enemies" such as Vick seems to. So it was considerably easier. Now I'm not saying Vick's situation was the same because I don't know. All I'm saying is, having dealt with these types of parties before it wouldn't surprise me if Vick really had no idea who was going to be walking through those doors. However, whoever was in charge-whether it was Vick or some nobody like myself-should have known that Phillips didn't belong there and had the responsibility to see to it that he stayed out (perhaps not with a gun however)

Re: Man shot after confrontation with Vick at Michael Vick's 30th birthday party
SS i get ya, but mike vick shouldnt be at any party or around alcohol period. this should have been drilled into his brain when he was let back in the NFL. im sure it was.
does it take someone getting shot at 2:15 am at a party for vick at a club for vick to realize he cant do any of that stuff if he wants an NFL paycheck. he appears to be just really dumb with his decisions. personally, after him drowning dogs with his own 2 hands, i hope he just gets banned for life from the nfl. then he can go and do what he wants, probably end up in jail, broke and not in a special segmented area either. d hall may not be the best sign of how a professional athlete should behave but he had enough sense to not go to the party and he is preparing for the up-coming season. honestly, i wasnt all that mad at him for the dog thing. i got dogs, love em, but vick did his time. i thought he paid his debt and was happy goodell let him back. but come on, enough is enough with this dude. if he didnt know he shouldnt attend an alcohol party at a club until 2 am a few days ago, he sure as freak does now. besides, homie knowingly gives (or atleast gave) girls herpes. theres just no excuse for his decision to attend a party. have it at your moms house, all proper, bbq, have the uncles and neices and nephews around, take pics and show you are withdrawing and distancing yourself from the image of bling wrapped around dudes necks in their wife beaters while they try and act like they got more money than the next man. that whole scene is a macho look at me joke. most of them dudes rent their jewelry, live in a house with 20 other bamas.

Re: Man shot after confrontation with Vick at Michael Vick's 30th birthday party
Mike Vick is comfortable in two environments: the gridiron and this thug element. There's no other way around it. Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but the terms of his suspension states "zero tolerance". He upped the ante to 50-50 once he decided to host a birthday party at a night club 40 miles away from the dog incident(s). No, Michael Vick can't control the guest list, but I suppose he can control when and where he decides to party.
I was on probation (during my teen years) and my boys were egging me on to come back to the streets before my probation terminated. Well guess what, they hadn't changed at all and as well intentioned as I was stay to clean, there was no way in hell I was going to roll with the same crew and keep my nose clean. The upshot of the story is I got as far away from D.C. as I could for a few years and righted the ship. It kept my ass out of jail too! LOL Now you're talking about a dude that had no money to speak of. How much more should a guy like Mike Vick, with $5 mil in the bank, and a lucrative four or five years ahead of him heed the terms of his probation?? He's just flat out immature and weak minded if you ask me. |

This shows you are a lot smarter than Michael Vick. He may not be able to control who is at a club when he is there, but he had a legal obligation to either (1) leave immediately or (2) he could have had the bouncers at the club escort the other 'miscreants' out. If he stayed, he knowingly violated the terms of his probation and also his terms of reinstatement into the NFL. I must say, I am really surprised at some of the people on here giving him a pass.

LOL. That's exactly what I said. Plus he's lying to cops (again). He told them in his statement he left long before the shooting occurred (I think he told them 30 mins before).

Re: Man shot after confrontation with Vick at Michael Vick's 30th birthday party
Report: Marcus Vick could be involved in shooting
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on June 30, 2010 6:36 PM ET So I went on the Game 102.1 FM in Virginia Beach this afternoon to talk about Michael Vick. Before the segment was over, the hosts (Johnny D. and Bartley Barefoot) proceeded to break some news. The radio station has sources that Marcus Vick, Michael's brother, was involved in the shooting that took place after Vick's 30th birthday party last Friday morning. It's uncertain what "involved" means here precisely. ESPN's Adam Schefter said earlier on Wednesday that he believes the shooter will turn himself in to authorities soon. I was surprised initially to hear the Marcus Vick connection, and couched my response with a lot of "ifs" and "possiblys" regarding the situation. Barefoot had no such equivocation, saying his sources were sure Marcus Vick was involved. We'll continue to track the story, as will a growing number of national sources. ESPN led their NFL coverage today on air and online with Michael Vick's timeline problem. The longer this story drags on, the more uncomfortable it grows for Vick, not to mention the Eagles and Roger Goodell. Vick could really use that shooter to come forward quickly.

I'm prob one of Vick's biggest fans on the site and I have no support for him now. Just horrible decisions. "Bad association spoils usefull habits"

Vick left the club three minutes before the shooting, says the manager of the bar!

Originally he left with WITH Marcus. I was taking the wait and see before condemning him for anything but being stupid, it is starting to not looking good for the Vick family as a whole.

The whole timing issue is definitely curious. Was he jetting out of there knowing what was about to go down?

Curious to say the least. When something like this happens, there's usually so many different stories circulating about it's difficult to guage fact from fiction. The situation will become clearer when all the facts have been assembled, the bits and pieces become more coherent and form one complete and sensible statement.
