Re: 4th of July weekend plans

I'm actually trying to find some good ol illegal fireworks (bottle rockets, roman candles etc AKA the good stuff that dc/md/va is too chicken shit to allow). Anyone in PA know of any places south of Philly? Cause that's where I'm gonna be this weekend.

I think Phantom Fireworks might have some. I might check there first.

If I would have known sooner I could have mailed some to you because I have several boxes of the good old illegal SC fireworks.

Re: 4th of July weekend plans

havent been in dc in awhile, they have these big kiosk like stands that sell fireworks.

do they still have those in dc? as a kid i would take the bus home and watch undercover cops pull cars over just as they pass the DC MD line. always wondered how they coordinated that.

coolest thing i ever found on a DC bus? a huge box probably 4 feet high full of old old baseball cards and some football cards. they were bent and frayed to crap so they were worthless.

Re: 4th of July weekend plans

I became a big fan of fireworks again last summer, first year in our new place. The town launches them off from the beach right behind our place so they literally feel like they're right on top of you. A big crowd gathers on the common area in our development and it creates a buzz of excitement. Boats cruise in and anchor up out on the lake, and we have a top notch view from the comfort of our deck. Drinks in hand, good eats, fireworks, the lake, summer is officially here!

That sounds like a great time. Didn't you say you own a boat or you want to buy one at some point?

Just got my boat last week! Looks like great weather this weekend so we're looking forward to getting in some serious boat time.
