A tip of the cap to VCU. I poo-pooed them quite a bit. Clearly they belong. Georgetown shot like shit and turned it over a ton. Sloppy.

No excuses. Georgetown ONLY played like crap cause of VCU defense. VCU shutdown Georgetown and their guard play. This wasnt a oh VCU got lucky making 3s, umm thats VCU whole game all year, they shoot the 3s...Remember another CAA team, ODU began Georgetown's season by dropping a 62-59 win on G-Town's head. I think its time the the talking heads Im hearing on TV give a little more respect to the CAA as whole, I keep hearing excuses being made for these Big East teams. Dickie V and Digger do a good making up afterwards though. By the way SS, tell Jay Bilas he's doing a great job, dont let this get him down. Oh and did anyone see Charles Barkley in that tan blazer last night, that is not a good color scheme making him looking like Jabba the Chuck. Dude is huge.

Tough to beat a team that takes 25 3-pointers and makes more than half of them. CAA BBall is for real.

On another note: I always feel bad in the tournament for seniors on teams that are crapping the bed. Watching guys like Freeman and Wright in such a dejected state is kinda hard.

I've followed Freeman since he was 13 years old (which sounds creepier than it is), tough to see him go out like this

Not making any excuses for G-Town, or not showing VCU respect. I went to a CAA school (well they were when I was there), have plenty of love for the CAA.
I'm pissed at Bilas right now, he's the one that convinced to pick G-Town all the way though I wasn't planning to based on last year

If its time to lock this thread ill understand.....
"We'd like to thank ESPN," Smart said. "We'd like to thank all of our fans back in Richmond. We couldn't have done it without you. I want to thank our basketball family at VCU, all the coaches, academic advisers, strength coaches, everybody that contributed to this. "Most importantly, I want to thank our players, these five guys behind me plus the nine guys back at home. They proved one important thing in sports: It really doesn't matter what anybody else says." VCU wins ESPY for 'Best Upset' | Richmond Times-Dispatch VCU!!!!

I was pretty hurt last night, sorry .... started drinking at 7am in order to go shark fishing. Fell in love a couple tmes with strippers at a couple differnt clubs. I was just so pumped up after the vcu win! Purdue should be tough.....
Todays plans: hooters (here now drinking & routing for wvu) gambling boat byob strip club (amateur night, and highly recommended by shark fishing guy) regular strip club until were the last ones to leave again Richmond Morehead should be one of the most interesting games so far...... lets go Spiders! |
