Re: Jan 15-16 Playoff Thread
Aaron Rogers is simply taking his game to another level. He's putting himself right up there with Brady and Manning.

Re: Jan 15-16 Playoff Thread
Just goes to show you that bringing in a bunch of big name wr's doesn't = a SB. And the two guys that Balt. got let them down yesterday. Where was Boldin? And TJ cried all season about not getting the ball, even though he knew he was going to be the #3 and he flat out drops the most important ball of his life.

Re: Jan 15-16 Playoff Thread
Gotta give Green bay's front office and coaching staff some props. They've had a ton of injuries yet they're still rolling along.

You have to consider that even as recent as the 2008 draft, the Green Bay Packers were very divided on whether Rodgers had any value to them, which says something about his play in practice as well as his preseason sample. It's not THAT surprising that the Packers showed enough patience with their QB and head coach to reach the point that Rodgers and McCarthy have reached together. Had the Redskins drafted Rodgers done the same, it would have been the first time since the merger that they had reached this point. In other words, our front office was simply not good enough to develop Rodgers into a top level QB. I think the one we have now -- flawed as it is -- probably could take the next Aaron Rodgers and make him a very good quarterback.

For the sake of the NFL, I'm glad we didn't get him back then. Hopefully DS has learned from his mistakes and the Skins are finally ready to put all the pieces together the right way. Then we can groom a young QB like Rogers into a franchise QB for the Skins. |

Re: Jan 15-16 Playoff Thread
Flacco actually has a winning record in the playoffs he is 4-3 and all games on the road. It is impossible for a third year player to have four losses.

Re: Jan 15-16 Playoff Thread
Flacco is a pretty good QB, just played a slighty better team and his WRs let him down in crucial moments. Baltimore's D in the second half didn't help either. Don't get it why you continue to sound like it was all his fault. He is def not an elite QB but I wouldn't necessarily call him just average.

Re: Jan 15-16 Playoff Thread
Flacco strikes me as a guy who will play for a long time. On occasion, when the stars align, he will be have a great game. On the whole, however, he will consistenly be an above average QB who will go as far as the team around him let's him. He is just not going to carry a team for more than a game or two.

Re: Jan 15-16 Playoff Thread
I think right now the only QBs that will carry their teams are Brady, Manning, Brees, and Rodgers. Maybe Rivers getting close to that level.
Sidenote: Boy the Bears got lucky having to play the lesser of the wildcard teams.

The Saints were probably thinking the same thing last week. Still gotta go out and beat your opponent on the field.
