Associating the national anthem with the SuperBowl, commercializes it. Anything that is commercialized is cheapened to an extent, IMO. It becomes commonplace and over hyped for the wrong reasons.

She F... up the verse. I have no problem with that. She did not do that nonsense on purpose and if she could get that moment back....she would! I have a bigger problem with the "personalization" of the National Anthem. IMO sing like it is, don't interpret...just MO. If I were the NFL, I would demand to hear the version that will be sung at the game, before game day.
BUT OMG....I have NEVER seen a worse half time show FAIL.........NFL

I think in the future they should just have a regular singer, someone who will perform the national anthem as it is written, and sung in the traditional sense.
No need to put all the bullshit on it and all the crazy vocal runs. Just sing it nice and normal. This police officer did a fine job. YouTube - WORST National Anthem EVER. This is ridiculous, no one has a monopoly on how to sing it correctly...they are all renditions...just have some talent and say the words and you'll do fine.
