"I think things would be done somewhat differently," Paul said, of how he would have handled the situation, citing "respect for the rule of law and world law and international law." Paul says that instead of sneaking into Pakistan and killing bin Laden, he would have cooperated with the Pakistani government and put the al Qaeda leader on trial - a strategy, he argues, that has worked for the United States in the past. "I would suggest ...the way they got Khalid [Sheikh] Mohammed," Paul told Conway. "We went and cooperated with Pakistan. They arrested him, actually, and turned him over to us, and he's been in prison." "What's wrong with that?" Paul asked. "Why can't we work with the government?"

For instance, click on the link of Obama's promise to create a $10 billion foreclosure fund or the one where he promises to double the size of Peace Corps. Politifact gives a convoluted and drawn out explanation as to why they categorize these as a "broken" promise. None of them are cut and dry as advertised. Some of them fall more into the category of compromise. Still, I like Politifact and how they hold our officials, including the president, accountable. |

Iraq, Gitmo, having terrorist trials here in the states (that one he tried but realized it was a bad idea). Actually flip flop is the fun name to use when a politician flips on an issue but I 'll have to say I think Obama change his opinion on some issues after getting briefed and seeing the dangers we face. He has actually made some moves I was surprised with

Re: Ron Paul to Run for President
I thought the same thing. I really don't know what to make of this anymore or what he actually stands for. One minute he's for invading Libya, then he flips. Then he's for the individual mandate, but on the other hand he wants to repeal Obamacare? Very bizzare.

Pretty funny. I too dont know what to think of Newt, hes a odd ball. Even how he and his wife just continued to sign books like oh well sometimes you get glittered was wierd. Watching him on Fox as a pundit i used to wonder if he knew what the conversation was about. He kind of has old man ramblings syndrome.

May not agree with his views true. But he does sound like a normal guy to me as well. As who knows what 2012 will take us?!
