Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread
What's the news on Landry??
I'm really worried about our secondary... Eli kills us almost every one of the last 6 straight we've lost to the g men.. if our pass rush starts lacking and the secondary has to play a ton of balls I will be praying ... I will be at the game cheering my ass off! Lets go skins!!!! Httr!

“Uuhhh oo it ain’t my fault...blame the genius circus staff for the rush. wouldve been there 2wks ago. Im [sorry] but saga [continues],” The tweet has since been deleted.... Almost sounds like he is blaming the Skins staff for a setback(?) I can't tell as I cannot understand a word the man says. On Saturday, Landry tweeted, “Dont u hate when u absolutely know something 200% and dumb. . . still do the opposite of what u tell them!!! Set backs. . . !!!” The message contained three vulgarities. I personally think that Laron won't be back till week three....I also think Laron is not being very forthcoming about the situation. To me, Laron is kind of a punk. I have always felt that. Things will one day go south with him and the redskins and it will not be pretty. Last edited by polywog; 09-06-2011 at 07:47 PM. |

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread
That's just not good news for us ... our secondary needs to step up or we wont win as many games as we think ...
Have a hunch Brandon Thompson or whoever steps up into a big role for us by week 5 .

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread
Relax...while Landry likes to lay the wood on people....Doughty is a very smart, hardworking and reliable back up. There is actually not as much of a drop-off as people think.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread
Considering Landry looked like a likely Defensive MVP last year, there was plenty of drop off.

Sure, he's the hardest hitter on the team, but he does not make very good decisions for a safety imho. Watch and try not to hit something! Ouch.... Last edited by polywog; 09-06-2011 at 08:14 PM. |

By looked, I mean he was actually playing at the level of a defensive MVP. He was great last year and no one can deny that.

I did watch him. Hard to really tell during the game....you have to catch the stuf on Youtube. Watch the vid I posted, then defend his play. He was flat out awful at times. I can deny it because it's true....Landry is kind of overrated. Last edited by polywog; 09-06-2011 at 08:20 PM. |

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread
Sorry I refuse to make a prediction on this one. The Gmen are hurting, and hurting bad, but how many times have we had the Giants come up hurting and we still end up on the losing end of the stick. If we protect Grossman and attack Eli and get him to screw up on cue, then we win. It is that simple. If our Dbs go down like bitches and for some reason we can't get a good pass rush, we lose. It is all about the line play gentlemen. I think we are in good shape though since we have a trio of young stud Rbs to work out. I think we win, but don't quote me on that. Just too much whack history between us and the Gmen.
