I'd lean toward yes. Seems people still don't want to give D.Hall credit for sticking his nose in on physical tackles.

Re: D.Hall says he's targeting Romo's ribs

That is exactly why D-Hall is who he is ... and he's a better player now than he has ever been .. since he's joined the Skins' he has become better each season and is officially one of the best corners in the league & looks like he has bulked up quite a bit ... I freaking love the trash talk more than normal for one reason ... this aint the eagles nightmare last year ... this aint some BS trash talk .. this is a TEAM that is pissed off and is showing that hatred for the Cowboys .. stand behind your boy D-Hall ... I hope he knocks the shit out of Romo .. HTTMFR

Playmaking corner? He's right up there at the top. Cover corner? He's below average.

Re: D.Hall says he's targeting Romo's ribs

I actually love that Hall said what he said. I know it will piss off the opponant and give them something to be mad about but I look at it this way. Dallas is trying to milk this whole Romo will, Romo might not play game they have been playing. Obviously it is smart on their part to keep the Skins guessing even though personally I can't imagine them sending their #1 QB out to get beat up more during a divisional game that always has hard hits. Hall is just playing their game..... if he plays we will target his injured ribs. Kinda makes the Cowboys think twice about sending him out and possibly getting hurt worse.

Say what you want inside the locker room. Once you leave it, just shut up and play.

D Hall's strip and touchdown to end that half was one of the plays of the year which came against the evil establishment on national tv.

People seem to have short memories round here when it comes to praise, but long memories when it come to hatt.

I don't have a problem with hall's statement . Romo will be targeted in the midsection all year , besides , you can't go for the head or knees . As for as Jones , geez , just sneeze on him and he gets hurt .

Re: D.Hall says he's targeting Romo's ribs

I don't have a problem with him saying it.

But I'm gonna venture a guess that he was just saying what every Skins player/fan was thinking.

"Someone please knock Romo out of the game."

Was it smart of him to say that prior to a MNF game? Probably not. If it really needed to be said at all.

Is it what I'm hoping will happen during the MNF game? Definitely so.

Re: D.Hall says he's targeting Romo's ribs

So am I correct that people are complaining about a Redskins playing saying that he's going to hurt a Cowboys player? When did this become an issue for Redskins fans? Last time I check, this was supposed to be a rivalry.

This is what I'm saying. It's a rivalry game and a Romo said he's gonna play injured and basically doesn't give an F about getting back to 100%. I don't think the Skins should be trying to splatter his brains on the field. But they should definitely not be trying to put some pattycake hits on him and play nice because he's playing hurt.

You are correct and I will give you that, but I can't help but feel from my point of view we've had two weeks of no bs in the media, no dumb stories distracting our lockerroom, just guys going in puttin' in work and going out and playing great games, and now we see that one of the most turbulent Redskins is saying unnecessary things in the media about things we already know.

It's not the fact that he's gonna go out there and occasionally try to hit Romo in the ribs to knock him out, I just wish he was saying that to anybody but the media. Same with Orakpo too, but to a lesser extent. We don't need to go into the game with a bulls eye on our backs, which is what all this talking creates.

And also, our recent track record shows that we have a hard time walking the walk after we talk the talk. Now this team could be different, but all it does is put added pressure on us to perform and back it up.

I personally don't think that D. Hall is as turbulent as some fans paint him to be, but I do agree that he is that. However, my point was that more of the complaints here are because it was him saying that, and of course the media is making it a big deal (because this is a big rivalry).

I could be wrong, but I heard a number of times during the Cards/Skins game that Darnell Dockett was upset because alledgedly Hightower had guaranteed a win. Since TH is a new Redskins and it wasn't a big rivalry game, this wasn't hyped up by the media and no one mentioned this here. If D. Hall had said something like that, there would have been a 2000-post thread about it.

In my book, D. Hall or anyone saying they are going to bust Romo's ribs is not anywhere close to the circus that Haynesworth or McNabb were last year.

Found some links about the Hightower story...
