I think you misunderstood my post. I have zero concerns with RG3. I just think Gruden did a bad job. I didn't need to see griffin do anything, just would have enjoyed watching him do his thing on the whiteboard.

I kinda agree. It was my first time watching Gruden's QB Camp, so I'm not sure if that's the norm, but it wasn't really all that. I felt they would go over more football specific type stuff, and instead they spent way too much time covering things like his socks, and how he felt at the Heisman ceremony, etc. I would've loved to see him test his memory skills again, or something along those lines.

I watched pretty much everyone of them since they started and I guess it depends on his mood for that interview.

I beleive he was pretty tough with Jimmy Clausen the one year if my memory serves me right. I am sure Gruden has his favorites all ready in his head.

I am also willing to bet the 32 NFL teams put very little weight into that show. IT is really just for us the fans.

Gotta agree with you. I was really disappointed they didn't go to the board or more film of him throwing. For example, he didn't ask about his pick at the goal line and another one he threw in the Alamo Bowl. I wish they would have done more of what he's going to project to at the next level rather than that sniffer garbage and the celebrations. I like the socks thing since that's his signature.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

U notice he mentioned, Coach Shannahan first and then seemed to catch himself and add the Colts head coach in as well.

I'd love to be able to see the unedited version to see what was cut out and why

Re: Gruden 2012 QB Camp Schedule

If you watch the full video I added you will see Gruden does break down film with RG3. He even talks about bad goal line formations. Talks about where he's reading on the field. Talks about tempo, speed, knowing what and where everyone is on the field. Running plays when the defense is not set or ready. How RG3 was taught to watch the defense and if they are trying to get off the field he should run a quick play. etc. etc.

Are you saying this is a longer version then the half hour one that was on last night?

Um, no. CultBrennen posted this one....

Gruden Camp: RG3 - ESPN Video - ESPN

Which was the only one I had to watch. I didn't watch it last night so I'm resorting to seeing it after the fact. I'm refering to the fact that the video I posted has more in it then this video does especially at the beginning.

However, if you are commenting that Gruden didn't go out of his way to ridicule RG3 or break down tons of film with him I guess you'd be correct. But the way some people are posting one would get the impression there was no film break down and Gruden simply fluffed the whole show.

What I've noticed of Gruden especially from last yr is he fluffs with the top ranked QB's then he takes the 2nd tier and later and really has them breaking down film. I would assume its because everyone kinda knows what they are getting in Luck and RG3, it's the rest of the pack that might need to establish their knowledge, and sell themselves to teams.

I saw the parts you are talking about. Specifically on running plays when the D is not ready was interesting, and left me hoping that the Skins can run at the tempo he was talking about. The breakdown of the goalline was really not that interesting to me, again 4 times asking him why he was being pushed by the fullback. Like Celts said Gruden went over the whiteboard with Luck, I expected something about that on the show. Maybe they just felt the one video from the combine already showed Griffin at the whiteboard, I don't know... Just came off far less about being a pro qb, and more about how Gruden loves him. Maybe the socks were a bribe to keep Gruden from airing less flattering footage

Re: Gruden 2012 QB Camp Schedule

I have probably already made a bigger deal out of it then it's worth and i will let it go now but the Luck show was mostly nuts and bolts football talk and the RG3 show was mostly fluff. I enjoyed it anyway but I expect and usually get more from the Gruden QB Camp shows...

I didn't see any of the shows so you might be correct. But... what was he going to talk about with Luck? I think RG3 has much more about him. Maybe Gruden does like RG3. All the better for the fans who hate Shanahan and Co. knowing that possibly their next HC loves RG3. lol.

Honestly I'm coming around on RG3 but I was rooting for the team to take Weeden. As silly as it sounds. I just didn't think the team would give up the draft picks to move up. RG3 is a bright kid, smart, has good arm strength, and adds the mobility to the package which will obviously help out on the roll outs.

I just hope some fans hopes are not dashed with the Colts taking RG3. lol.

As SS said, it would be interesting to see what was left out.
