Well that's interesting.

Some of you may recall that I told you last week, thanks to a last minute stay of execution, Cooley was going to be given until the first preseason game and then likely released.

This, though, is the first I'm hearing of him being re-signed for less money

Not clear what the timing of the release/re-sign would be from the report/speculation. But thought I would pass along. I assume this will be the subject of a tweet or two today from Russell/others.

I'll see what I can find out too

After how Paul played, I wonder if they're reconsidering cutting him at all (regardless of if he would resign).

Paul is too interesting a talent/physical specimen to cut after one bad game (his first at TE). Have to stick with him for at least two more preseason games. He's also a much cheaper option.

Garcon is a stud.He will open thing up like no one has for years. Please stop the end zone flips.

Griffin to Garcon is something we're going to hear a lot of this year. It's looking pretty obvious from camp and from last night that they are going to feature him, a lot.

Banks got a lot of targets because it's preseason and they're trying to determine his worth, if any, to the team. Expect Robinson and/or Austin to get the same next week

I hope Robinson shows well, in both the passing and return game. Coach seemed to make a point to have someone pull double duty.

Initial Thoughts: Robert Griffin's preseason debut - Washington Times

The refs need to go. someone is gonna get hurt if they dont blow the whistle after the play is over.

Re: Skins/Bills postgame

O Line looked good in pass protection but weak in the run game. The D made some very nice stops and played very tough at the goal line. I think the Bills had 6 plays inside the 5 in the 2nd half and then shanked the FG. You could sure see the drop off when RG III left the game. He seemed very relaxed on and off the field.

For anyone who thought the regular refs were bad... wow.

They need to get them back asap.

Agreed. I could tell it was going to be a long night when they called a touchback after Moorman's punt was downed at the 4 yard line. That wasn't even close.

Re: Skins/Bills postgame

If they release him will he be subjected to waivers? It'd be a pain if we lost Cooley on waivers.
