Been out of touch for a while but figured this was a perfect time to jump back in.
Bashing Matty's post is ridiculous. I've been a member for years going back to the Yahoo days and if anything I've found Matty's posts to be TOO diplomatic at times. I generally agree with all his posts and I respect the way he gives his side without "calling anyone out". He also usually backs up his points with reasons so if you do disagree with him, at least you can understand where he's coming from. All in all I think he's a great moderator (along with the others), and we should all be grateful for the dedication he (they) has put into this site. The whole point of this board is to read different opinions. That's how you learn. I know personally I've changed my view a few times after reading what others had to think. If we all agreed on everything there would be no point. Take Daseal for example. He would rather have Spurrier than Joe Gibbs. This is one of the most ludicrous statements I've ever heard in my life. But I LOVE Daseal's posts and would sorely miss them if he were gone. He's a great devil's advocate and makes us all step back and look at things more objectively. I think the Warpath is the best board site out there. The fans here are very knowledgeable and more importantly very respectful of each other's views and posts. Take that new guy who could barely spell as an example. So I urge everyone to chill and enjoy. In case you haven't noticed Joe Gibbs is back. I've been smiling for months and hope I never wake up. Now I'm gonna go find one of Daseal's posts so I can bash him. :smashfrea GO SKINS |

Mattyk-
The one about Trotter was the one that really angered me. But basically, every time I began a post on this site, I would get responses that agreed and disagreed with me, which I had no problem with. But each and every time, you disagreed with my position. Again, I have no problem with that- we're all entitled to our own opinions. But not only would you disagree, you would put in some quick, short statement in the tone that "it was a fact" and my opinion was ignorant. I had no idea what I'd done to piss you off so much, but the Trotter "quite simply" remark was what sent me over the edge. Can you explain why you would say something like that to me or what I said to illicit that remark? I have never, nor would I ever ridicule someone's opinion like that! Whoever reads this can call me paranoid if they want, but I know this was the case. In any event, you, me and all of us have better things to talk about. I aired my grievance and got it off my chest, now I'm done with it. Any and all can hate me if they will, but I only stay quiet for so long when I feel I'm being dissed! So Crazy Canuck, I don't feel it's crazy to bash Matty's post. And I think, if you've read any of my other posts, you'll see I'm not some arrogant touchy ass. But I totally agree with you. Gibbs being back is like an answer to my prayers. I'm ready to just accentuate the positive from now on! |

It's all good Raleighskinsfan.
If you felt dissed then you have the right to express your concerns like everyone else. It just seemed to me that it would be out of character for Matty to target anyone personally that's all. In any case I'll leave the resolution up to you guys. And I agree with your notion of accentuating the positives from now on. Luckily we have a lot of positives to choose from! |

Hey Raleigh!
You just have to attribute it to the "youthfulness" of this board. Most of the ages shown are quite frankly, half of mine! So I guess that makes me an elder statesman! CrazyCanuk is, well, crazy! But knows figures! Matty is, well, glued to this site, and is and always has been an up front guy! Plus, he's the one with the $$$, and I for one appreciate this forum to no end! The only one that will be voted off this island is Ade Jimoh Fan! Well, he will right after HOF Coach Gibbs cuts him, and then, I'm sure will change his handle! LOL If he somehow makes the team, (I doubt it!), then I will still "post" back at him.
I appreciate Daseal, SC, Boz, Defensewins, SkinsCanes, and all the new and old posters! This is just like talking to your friends at work, home, school, or wherever, and getting a different spin on what is going on! We cannot have the same opinion, because we each have different noses, and therefore, a totally different perspective from one another. But this forum feels like family, and I mean that in the sincerest terms. I feel I know you after you post a couple of times!

The reason I joined this forum was becuase people could back up their different opinions. It most all cases all the arguments are educated and have some truth to them. All of us want Taylor and Winslow to be drafted, which aroudn the league would be laughed at as just dreaming. but whenever anyone has suggested an unlikely event they supplied a scenerio that could potentially happen. I love all the new ideas that have come from this post. You never know who reads this, mabye Mr. Gibbs himself is reading one of our posts and wondering if he could work out one of our scenerios.
When ive read posts on espn.com and NFL.com everythign is basically ignorant. Peopel discuss trading their practice squad players for the probowl team as a serious inquiry. I dont know the history of the site but thank you to everyone thats helped get it to the point its at now.

Of course, the best would be to hear Gibbs answer a question/comment with "Quite simply...depth"
Sorry, couldn't resist. Nothing but love Raleigh

The reason I often post short messages is because I'm at work or at school. And, because I read every single post that is on the board, I often don't have the time or energy to respond with long replies, so rather than say nothing at all I'll chime in with something short. Why, because I like to be part of the discussions since what it boils down to is this is my site, LOL. Seriously dude, I have nothing personal against you, that's not the way I operate at all. And like I said, before yesterday I didn't even know who you were. Obviously this is a big misunderstanding, if you were offended in some way I apologize. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. Tell you what, I'll steer clear of you and you do the same for me, ok? |

Call me comical, absurd and paranoid if you wish. I know I was dead on. Funny that I have had not a single problem with anyone else on the board.
Also funny to me that you felt the need to point out and call this "your site." That was exactly the attitude I heard in your replies towards me! You're right- we'll just have to agree to disagree. I will steer clear of you and will appreciate the same. |
